July 6th 2021 Jazz 8737 Magdalen Islands to Montreal diversion

Re: ‘Reckless’ Canadian pilots commit major quarantine breach in Darwin

Who are they? Is their identity a secret? It's time to start publicly naming and shaming quarantine breachers. Incredible narcissism.

The good news is if the regulators start making big demands the new guy is more likely to just walk away from the deal. This isn't his baby.

It probably depends on the type of LOA. For a parental LOA they still might accure service.

I ain't clicking that link. Air Canada is a publicly traded company and leaking meetings about negotiations between the company and labor unions could draw the attention of Securities regulators on yourself, this website, and anyone viewing it.

I'm kind of glad they're gone. A lot of the RP's I talked to had significant responsibilities outside of work and told me that's why they bid RP. Which makes you kind of wonder if they're just along for the ride more or less.

Unbelievable that they had the results of a very recent member survey saying flat pay was the biggest issue, and then they agreed to make it even worse.

So you could retire at 60 but you want more pension. Unicorns are real they're just fat, grey, and called rhinos.

Re: 220 Pilots, what are you thoughts so far??

Aviation authorities seem to lack the resources or expertise to thoroughly validate a modern airliner so they rely on the manufacturer to self validate. Which of course may have a conflict of interest.

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

Latest from Air Transat While the Corporation remains firmly committed to completing the transaction with Air Canada, certain factors beyond its control and related to the COVID-19 pandemic could influence the outcome of the proposed arrangement. The market conditions of the global industry have bee...

Re: Snowbird crash in CYKA

Ah I thought they modernized the seats in the early 2000's. That explains why the F-18 ejection seat worked much better at an even worse angle and altitude. These seats effectively drove them into the ground. You'd have to wonder if they'd be better off staying onboard and trying to pull out of the ...

Re: Snowbird crash in CYKA

It was not 90 degree nose down when they ejected. Not even close. Airspeed was actually pretty low too due to just coming out of the spin. I thought modern ejection seats were supposed to be zero-zero certified. Their chutes weren't even close to being open despite traveling a fair distance through ...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

Boeing pulled the plug on the Embraer purchase. From Wikipedia Boeing terminated the planned joint ventures on April 24, 2020, saying that Embraer did not satisfy the conditions established in their agreement.[33] Industry analysts said that the $4.2 billion deal became unbalanced as Embraer's mark...
