Re: CBAA 2019 Compensation Survey

Thank you for the Pro Pilot information however that is from the US market and my work dismisses it because it's not representative of the Canadian market. I was wondering about the one from CBAA/Wynford that was released at the July YYC convention.

CBAA 2019 Compensation Survey

Does anyone have a copy of the CBAA 2019 Comp Survey? We're expected to do our own market research and negotiate our own salaries.

I just use "Cancel IFR - Close the Alerting"

Re: CYMM ILS25 Question

It is giving you the location of PERVA so that you can safely transition onto the approach from the VOR without any type of RNAV/GPS capability as the VOR is not on the ILS track. For whatever reason they're allowing you to descend from the 25NM safe but the PT altitude is too low for obstacle clea...

CYMM ILS25 Question

Since they moved PERVA off of the YMM VOR, this note "3400 from YMM VOR to PERVA FAF R-053 1NM" appeared on the ILS25 approach. What does it actually mean? The P-Turn is 2800 and 25nm is 3900 so 3400 doesn't make sense. Thanks in advance. http://postimage.org/image/5iyv0qbn3/ http://postimage.org/im...

Re: New AIM is THICKER but less pages?

The AIP was nicer; The issue with the AIP is that if you had any grease on your fingers the pages would go completely translucent on you. Who eats healthy food when studying the AIP? :P

New AIM is THICKER but less pages?

Hi:

Did anybody else notice that the New Grey-Coloured AIM (April 5th, 2012 - October 18th, 2012) is 1/4" thicker than the previous AIM, yet has less pages (436 VS. 440)?

Perhaps I need to get out more often

That doesn't work properly, and isn't supported by the developer anymore... I had this app for a while and found serious mistakes in it, namely while correcting very cold temps, -40 to -50 ish. waste of money. Emails about it were not answered. Re: **UPDATED** Cold Altitude Correction - IPhone & BlackBer

Are you kidding me? We have resorted to apps and spread sheets to help us calculate cold temperature corrections? Just like flying a plane isn’t hard – you can disconnect your auto-pilot, turn off your gps, and hand-fly Victors your entire career I’m also sure that you don’t do your flight planning...

Here are the Pros and Cons: IMO Pros of the Zulu / Cons of A-20: (1) You can’t stream music wirelessly through Bluetooth (because of the loss of sound quality, Bose doesn’t support ...

I’m back to Kraft Dinner Suppers for the next while; I caved into my desires and went and picked up the A-20. I’m really impressed with the level of noise canceling, its weight, and design. Re: AIM amendments... book of rules now a book of suggestion

I believe it’s for liability to be taken away from the AIM. The AIM was always a book of suggestions since it’s an “Interpretation of the CARs” so they don’t want any misinterpretations to slip through and be held responsible. It’s not that hard to find misinterpretations in the AIM that conflict wi...

I've never crapped my pants in a Stimulator before but we all have in a real acft so I would ditch the Stimulator idea unless you're flying that little, or are simply thinking you need practice with emergency drills. IMO I would say it mainly all depends on the pilot, but also the flight crew, the q...
