Re: SFU facial hair study
SFU was kind enough to provide me with the abstract from their research. They offered the full technical report as well but this is sufficient for me. The Efficacy of Oxygen Delivery Masks for Commercial Pilots with Facial Hair P.I. Sherri Ferguson, Director Environmental Medicine and Physiology Uni...

Hi, would anyone have a copy of the actual study conducted by Simon Fraser University regarding facial hair and pilots? Re: CBAA 2019 Compensation Survey
Thank you for the Pro Pilot information however that is from the US market and my work dismisses it because it's not representative of the Canadian market. I was wondering about the one from CBAA/Wynford that was released at the July YYC convention.

CBAA 2019 Compensation Survey
Does anyone have a copy of the CBAA 2019 Comp Survey? We're expected to do our own market research and negotiate our own salaries.

Re: CYMM ILS25 Question
It is giving you the location of PERVA so that you can safely transition onto the approach from the VOR without any type of RNAV/GPS capability as the VOR is not on the ILS track. For whatever reason they're allowing you to descend from the 25NM safe but the PT altitude is too low for obstacle clea...

CYMM ILS25 Question
Since they moved PERVA off of the YMM VOR, this note "3400 from YMM VOR to PERVA FAF R-053 1NM" appeared on the ILS25 approach. What does it actually mean? The P-Turn is 2800 and 25nm is 3900 so 3400 doesn't make sense. Thanks in advance. http://postimage.org/image/5iyv0qbn3/ http://postimage.org/im...

Re: New AIM is THICKER but less pages?
The AIP was nicer; The issue with the AIP is that if you had any grease on your fingers the pages would go completely translucent on you. Who eats healthy food when studying the AIP?

New AIM is THICKER but less pages?
Hi:
Did anybody else notice that the New Grey-Coloured AIM (April 5th, 2012 - October 18th, 2012) is 1/4" thicker than the previous AIM, yet has less pages (436 VS. 440)?
Perhaps I need to get out more often

That doesn't work properly, and isn't supported by the developer anymore... I had this app for a while and found serious mistakes in it, namely while correcting very cold temps, -40 to -50 ish. waste of money. Emails about it were not answered. I read the reviews on that Iphone App and it seems lik...

Are you kidding me? We have resorted to apps and spread sheets to help us calculate cold temperature corrections? Just like flying a plane isn’t hard – you can disconnect your auto-pilot, turn off your gps, and hand-fly Victors your entire career I’m also sure that you don’t do your flight planning...

Hi Everyone: I've updated the files with a re-written equation which now supports BlackBerrys & Iphones when it's run on Documents To Go. I have also re-named the columns to shrink its width for easier use on the BlackBerry narrower screen. You can download the Updated File by clicking on the origin...
