Re: Air Transat layoff next year

Yes as hard as it is to say, this is all true for what it's worth ... I am one of the Bus drivers who has just been furloughed along with 16 others. Huge shock and hard to deal with right now.

Just wanted to put some fact to the thread for everyone.

The reason for this is that there are still a fair number of people displaced from the Jet in a number of bases, a few are displaced st...

I heard the greatest story once about a guy who was going after his Commerical I believe and didn't have the all PIC time. He knew about a plane at an FBO that he thought never moved and put the callsign in his logbook as a plane he flew around as PIC. The Transport examiner who was doing his flight...

There's a few steps involved in the conversion process which luckily has gotten easier since December 2006. First, you must fill out a "Verification of Foreign License and Ratings" form with Transport Canada and the FAA. This is a form available on the FAA's website in Pdf printable format (Transpor...

Consider this fact; for many pilots starting out in the states, these are en...

I flew the Katana for my private and commercial training, I found them to be tons of fun. It's an aircraft you can really strap on and the visibility can't be beat not too mention the performance is quite good.
I'd highly recommend training on them.
