Re: Extension to applications??

I believe only those who are eligible for offers are extended. Asked about my application (waiting for interview) and was told applications are not being extended - mine will be expiring in Sept. Doubt I'll get an interview invite before then.

Re: YEG Applications process

I just wish I get invited into the in-person test. 🤞 Congratulations on passing the online test! A response from Joanne a couple days ago regarding training stated that recruitment is suspended until further notice and there's no timelines for resumption yet. So you may be waiting a while for that ...

Re: YEG Applications process

With applications being on halt pretty much (at least that's what it seems), my file is probably going to expire during this Covid-19 situation. I was thinking about reapplying in the YEG region (due to personal reasons). My preference is IFR with a close second of VFR, however, I am a bit concerned...

Re: When is YVR's next in-person assessment session?

2 questions.

1) For any YVR applicants that completed the w-Sim in-person assessment, but not FEAST, would they still be considered for interviews?
2) Has anyone heard when the next round of interviews is?

I'm hoping either of these may have been mentioned at the in-person assessment.

Cheers,

Re: Decline an in-person assessment?

^ Ended up being invited to the YWG In-Person Assessment and have my file remain in the YVR region. If you can explain your situation, and pay for your travel, they're pretty accommodating if there's space.

Re: YVR In-person Assessment (Jan 2019)

Well, as of today, my file was moved back from YWG to YVR after successfully completing the in-person assessment in YWG. Back in the YVR pool. :)

I tried asking about an interview timeline, but it sounds like no dates are set yet. Hoping either April or July-Sept time frames. :prayer: :prayer:

Re: YWG Onsite Assessment - 2019

Updated as of today. "Status: Interview" Looks like I passed :) I was sure I was a goner with the voice recordings. It says that my application is under YWG though, which is where I did the assessment so that makes sense, however, I was the one who applied through the YVR region so here's hoping tha...

Re: YWG Onsite Assessment - 2019

Invite received by e-mail this morning! Will be flying out on the 20th to attend the assessment on the 21st! :) Same, went through the wSim questions. Not sure how accurately they compare to the difficulty of the actual assessment though. I’m going to the assessment on Thursday as well! Good luck! ...

Re: YVR In-person Assessment (Jan 2019)

Well, after having to turn away from 2 invites for an in-person assessment in YVR. This morning I was offered a spot to the assessment in YWG on Feb 21st. :) Made the dates work and now have the time off to continue pursuing this. Feeling excited, nervous, and very blessed that this has worked out. ...

Re: YVR In-person Assessment (Jan 2019)

In theory, I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, due to limitations of my current career (not a vacation planning issue  ). Asked for the days off, but when the higher ups decline it due to training dates at work, my hands are a little tied. If the available dates included the weekend, no...

Re: YVR In-person Assessment (Jan 2019)

Was invited to the May 2018 assessment and again to the Jan 2019 assessment. Unfortunately, no dates worked for me again due to work and being out of area. :( I wrote the online assessment in Jan 2018, so will likely be doing that again soon and hope I can make an assessment sometime this year. I'm ...

I hope this is a good sign that in-person assessments might happen next month too? Regret having to miss the May one now.... =/

So rather than starting a new topic I'll just expand/add to this one. I apologize for anyone already posting in this one that this question may derail the original question. Understanding that sending an e-mail to atscareers to ask about working in any region may not lead to an invite outside of you...

Re: YVR in-person assessment

Has anyone heard of another round of in-person assessments for YVR? I was invited in May, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances. I'd have hoped another round would have come around by now but haven't seen/heard anything...my online assessment expires in January s...

Re: Wind direction/speed in wsim practice questions

Just received access to the WSim as well and didn't need it either for the questions at the end. It's important to know how to interpret wind data as a reporting tool for approaches and departures. METAR requests will also include wind data, so knowing how to read those will be important. Not having...

Re: YVR in-person assessment

The last time I sent off an e-mail, the reply I received was that there would be an in-person assessment around May/June time frame. I completed my online assessment mid-Jan, I've been waiting for anything official since. I'm away 1 week in May and 2 weeks in June so I'm really hoping it doesn't con...

Re: YVR FIR

Hello everyone! I see nothing has been posted in the past few months. I'm assuming there hasn't been very many assessments/courses the last little bit then. I just finished my online application and the cognitive ability test online - green lighted. Looking at previous years it looks like there's be...
