Re: Huge discouragement

Welcome back Nicky Nick! I missed you.

It is hilarious that this thread has almost 100 replies (Nicky nick or RoadRunner whatever his name is has half) when it is so obvious the guy is stringing us along. No wonder Russian trolls have America by the balls if people are this gullible.

Re: Quarterly loss

I guess it doesn’t get any clearer: ”This second quarter loss can be primarily attributed to the impact of the threat of industrial action, which caused tens of millions of dollars in book-aways and cancelations. Given that the booking curve is primarily concentrated between 1 week and 6 months out...

Of course. Just don’t expect people to positively respond when you try and rouse them to your level of professionalism.

Re: Professionalism

Another straight up cancerous thread. Congratulations to all participants. This whole discussion is a waste of time. It'll be the individual who chooses how to present themselves in public and no amount of ranting and raving anonymously on a forum will change that. A kind/friendly comment or suggest...

Re: Some U.S. regional airlines are now sponsoring Canadians for the H1B Vis

If it's one thing I've learned from my time on AvCanada is that Supercharge is perfect! He's never made a mistake and even when Confed didn't work out for him it was no fault of his own (instead it was the "mystery exam"). I'm really starting to realize there will always be people in situations comp...

Re: Best place for multi IFR training??

Wow! Well this thread got dramatic real fast. I know some people who have gone through Cornwall and if you want to get the ratings done quick and economically. It's a good place. A bunch of my friends finished in less than a week and for less than $4K. From some stories it sounds like they just trai...

Re: Is it worth it anymore? ( salaries ?)

Well what an eye opener. All these threads complaining about pay and I really am a sucker. I thought I should just keep my head low, everyone is going through the same challenges. Little did I know I have been a pawn, a sucker, and really the pay is pretty fantastic. Time for me to go to swoop, I d...

Re: How real is the pilot shortage?

500 hours and you’ll start looking attractive to the scumbag operators, Yes that is true. But if you have the right attitude and are willing to be part of the company and willing to learn you will look attractive to the good companies and you will not need to apply to scumbag companies. It is more ...

Re: WHY SO MUCH HATE AGAINST SWOOP??

Because the level of Corporate Greed displayed by Westjet Management is disgusting. Westjet/Encore do something to try and get their WAWCON closer to some of the other competitors and Westjet decides to undercut them by creating this new piece of Swoop (look up Swoop in the Urban Dictionary). Now t...

I get it guys/girls. I honestly do. And for those that assume I'm out to lunch with reality, well....that goes both ways. It could be argued successfully that your group has.....unwittingly, or not...outmaneuvered itself, and the bag of teal-coloured doo-doo you're potentially going to hold comes a...

Re: Porter airlines ( hired less than 1000tt ? ?)

Why slam them? Their starting pay is at least higher than the other regionals. Slam them all! Even the majors in Canada have substandard wages compared to the rest of the world. We all need to fully realize that. We need to get angry and we need to do something about it. Sure I agree. I wish all th...

As to the OP. I know someone who was hired with less than <1,000 but I think it's safe to assume 1,000 is still the minimum.
