Re: Cargojet Base Closures and of Course Layoffs
Arewethereyet, On Cargojet taking care of its own, consider this; Cargojet is a publicly traded company. As such, the financial results are openly disclosed and made available to the public as you're obviously aware judging by your last post. EBITDA this past quarter as you point out, has decreased ...

Re: CargoJet
When you get hired as an S/O, you will remain in that position until you bid and are awarded a different position. This doesn't necessarily mean that the transition will be S/O to 1900, it all depends on your qualifications, seniority and desired path. To give you some background and my reply some c...

Re: CargoJet interview??
Captain Haddock, See, there's a reason you now get the low grade stuff. One fine evening in YVR, R1830 graciously hosted a pre-Foggy Dew get together in his room. He kindly offered me some of the aforementioned rum which naturally, I happily accepted. Well, after we both enjoyed a couple of his form...

Re: cargojet
Helmitfired, What compels you to get personal on a public forum? And guessing identities? A bit weak, don't you think? Judging by your posts, I could hazard a guess as to who you are but what'll that do for me? Have you run out of objectivity, resigning yourself instead to the all too common mud sli...

Good luck, enjoy the pyjama parties. Enough with the pyjama fixation...suffering from pyjama envy much? Keep it relevant, it will give your posts more credibility. "don't put all your eggs in one basket" comes to mind as well. With the industry being the way it is today, there are many baskets into...

Captain Foo, It's a pleasure to read your posts. Truely. But please don't, in an effort to forward your own arguement, blatantly misrepresent what others including myself have expressed. Kool-Aid fountain? How's that? Is it Kool-Aid because we propose that not everything sucks here always ? Or heave...

Damn it Oldfart!! You're obviously quicker on the keyboard than I am, you posted my exact thoughts before I had a chance! Especially the bit about #s 1 & 2 having to give back their shares as per the written agreement issued at the time of the IPO. The bottom line is, as Bank Angle implied, Cargojet...

That's right Cargo.King, just a couple of examples out of countless others. What did it take last week when there was infact a widespread issue amongst the pilots? A total of about 48 hours between the time the issue was brought to the attention of the CEO and management and the conference call anno...

They did announce a pension plan, RRSP matched contribution, details to follow. helmetfired said;..."he was advised that one wrongful dismissal suit wouldn't cost the company much." ??? That's right, 2 767s and a 757 for now. This in addition the new regional program makes for some busy times and with a recession looming on the horizon, busy is a good way to be. Good luck to all.pilotbzh wrote:Is cargojet buying 2 767?????

Please THX, I really can't see how anything I've expressed could be construed as jumping down your throat because "I don't share your opinion", particularly since you haven't shared your opinion. thx1138, Let me correct a response I made to one of your comments. You said: "their pilot guidebook stated that after 5 years of service, they could receive 4 weeks of vacation. Without even consulting with the pilots, this was quietly deleted." There was a change made in the Admin Guide regarding v...

thx1138, Didn't take your fingers long to start tapping out a misguided response, now did it. I mean no insult by this but since you've never worked here, your information is second-hand and single-sided. "I know quite a few Cargojet pilots. They are not happy guys." I know quite a few more Cargojet...

Much has happened in the past couple of months since we last bickered back and forth over Cargojet's pros vs. cons. I "gracefully" bowed out of the discussion at that point because the last thing I want to do is be involved in a pissing match and sound like I'm trying to convince people why they sho...

Lots of movement out of the company. More crews leaving for anywhere else. More SDO's promised but not expected to be delivered, yet again. Hey co-joe, just wondering if you consider 500 Multi PIC to be too lofty a requirement for the right seat on the 727? You're quite right in pointing out how things change in a year, the guys that were hired as S/O's a year ago are now the next to be upgraded. The group that was hired after them will...
