Shell Aircraft YYC shutdown
Hello I know a lot of us have been affected by shutdowns and Furloughs during our careers. For myself it was a post like this that helped me find a job when it hit me last. Unfortunately after 60 years of providing safe, efficient and professional service, the 23 employes that made up the corporate ...

Re: Compensation for the turboprop, dont forget this!
I feel compelled to share after reading this thread. My wife 2 weeks to our first child's due date, I was scheduled on a 4 day pairing that would not see me pass through home base once. Due to complications my wife was to be induced on my departure day. After nearly 8 years with the company, I playe...

Re: Frustrated with YYC flow, why don't you switch to YBW?
De-Ice / Ant-Ice is the big issue. Apparently CYBW does not approve even type I I considered it when YYC delays are greater than an hour. Even went there once to drop the passengers off and waited for a YYC departure time with no passengers waiting. The one FBO there had all the cabs waiting and pro...

Fire Season Hiring?
So I am interested in starting out in the seasonal work environment of the fire surpresion side of Aviation. I understand that a person would start as a “Bird Dog” and work your way up that way. In western Canada I am aware of at least 2 operators Conair and Air Spray. When does the hiring season st...

Re: Approach Ban
Great post the SMS people would be proud :D I would have to agree with “CCR” with that example. As far as the exemptions for “localized phenomenon” I believe it does not apply to RVR. http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/commerce/circulars/AC0237.htm The following exceptions to the above prohibitions a...

So how do the charter people do the JAA thing? Like Skyservice, when they send some crews over to EU do they have to do the 14 exams. There has been numerous posts for short term EU contracts with the only requriment is having a EU passport? To do those contracts do you have to do the full exam load?

Dedicated jet Air Ambulance
Does anyone have any information on "Canadian Global Air Ambulance". I understand they have bases in YVR YWG and YYZ. Operate 3 Lear 35/36's. I have tried the forum search feature. I am looking for information on there schedule, i.e. biweekly rotation or not? As well I know of Syservice's dedicated ...

MorganAir is getting an 800 soon. Hopkinson is looking for those pilots now. Heard there may be TWO 800's in YYC in the very near future. Don't forget NCA. Built a fence last week and started digging this week for hangar expansion. Lots happening in YYC. Any further info on the 800's? Who is "Hopki...
