Re: Discrimination

Very clearly racism/discrimination as well as white privilege. The woman occupying the seat that shouldn't have been there should have been removed, plain and simple. If for no other reason than the seat assignment has to be paid for and she's travelling with a small child. Of course, when a black p...

Re: Fall Equipment Bid

Personally I'd love if the western jazz guys bid the 175 to free up some RJ spots in yyc and yvr. I won't hold my breath though. As a point of information, the Sky guys down to about seniority number 1350ish were all available to or in the process of upgrading. I'm sure the former Sky yyz and yul gu...

Re: Best guess when recalls could happen

Their union sold them out. Pure and simple. Their union is/was our union. Pure and simple. This all played out just the way Big Red wanted it. Jazz, Sky, Georgian, we were/are all just puppets in their game. That's what needs to be understood. On a similar note, don't be surprised when United swoop...

Re: Best guess when recalls could happen

"while Sky Regional guys got a job and got their equipment protected..." "...and protection on the BEST AIRCRAFT." This is misleading. Got jobs, yes. Equipment protection, not really. At least as soon as the recall class on Monday the 5th, from Julie's mouth: "As soon as the next equipment bid, whi...

Completion and Ratification of Agreements

Here’s something. We’re almost there, fresh off the presses: March 15, 2021 Fellow Sky Regional Pilots, The JAZ MEC Chairman Captain Claude Buraglia contacted me last night to advise me they have completed their negotiations and finalized an agreement with their Company. Please see the below communi...

If it makes any difference regarding the E2, the demonstrator was on the ground at the Sky hangar in YYZ on October 1, 2019.

Re: Air Canada Revises the Terms of its Capacity Purchase Agreement with Chorus Aviation for Regional Flying

In an attempt to bring the topic back around, us Sky pilots aren't guaranteed to go over to Jazz at this point. It's only "possible transition to Jazz" as worded by the MEC in the latest email.

Yes, the ballgame is over. We got the email from Russ this morning: "Dear Colleagues, As you may know, two weeks ago, Air Canada reported an operating loss of nearly $3.8 billion for 2020, the largest loss in its history. Moreover, over the last year, it has announced successive workforce reductions...

Yes, it will be between 115-120.

The MEC chair resigned because of the shady ass sh!t he did when initial layoffs and downgrades came up.

And I’d say we’re all hoping for a CEWS extension.
