What??

That's an actual photo. They really did that to one or two planes.
There's one still flying down in the states I think.

Payload and range is what my friends in the service said. Herc would have been a better choice in many peoples' opinion.

But my DeHavilland fanboy'ism would've loved a revamped Buffalo.

I expect we'll see a resumption of slamming of the RCAF in this thread in roughly T-24 hours.
Hahahahahah. Like the other day when the Twin didn't cancel his IFR 10+ miles out on a severe clear day and made us old short and not take off?

You'll be flying the same routes, every day, with Summit. But you'll be home every night.

edit: sorry, I forgot North Caribou has 100's too.

My first question would be “ Fuel from which truck”
No GA fuel trucks in Whitehorse. Just big tanks.

Jazz taxing to fast. If they'd taxi at 7 kts or less like I do it wouldn't have happen. No different than the Toronto yahoos going 100 km/hr on 401. Cut speed to 50 and be less accidents and lower insurance premiums.

Re: Laser Eye Surgery

Had mine done back in 2009/2010 and it's one of the best decisions I ever made. If you're an active person get PRK, there is a slight chance of the flap opening up with lasik if you get lots of dust in your eye and/or rub them aggressively (I believe that's what I was told). My eyes haven't started ...

PFO email received, 6 weeks and a few days after the interview.
What's the consensus on the PFO email? Are you completely SOL? Do they just put you in a pool and pick from as necessary? Allowed to re-apply? Anybody know anyone that got a PFO and then successfully got hired later on?

Re: Good career start - flight dispatcher

I'm about 50 hours away from my CPL flight test (Single engine) and was thinking of attempting to find some work doing pipeline patrolling/aerial surveying. How realistic is this in today's market as I've heard that most operators require you to have a ME/IR rating even for single engine gigs (alre...

I had my eyes done in 2011'ish in order to get into the military as a pilot and not be disqualified from flying jets. They didn't bat an eye over it then and I got in perfectly fine.

Did these guys have instrument ratings? In the ground 84 seconds after no attitude indicators. Mind blowing they couldn't keep in air with rest of instrumentation. Must be more to it than this. Basic altimeter and DG for straight and level in IMC will keep you alive. Quite the training program this...

Any school that does multi ifr training... Do your CPL, get an instructor rating, then start teaching multi students, get your ATPL. I mean, if you really wanna instruct for that long and not get any real world experience, go for it.

So 15 people in the company make a decent living  Let's factor in the ~8-10K lbs of cargo on the Basler, and ~15-18K lbs on the ATR that has to be offloaded 3-4 times everyday (lots of breaking individual skids and hand-bombing involved since many of the communities don't have loaders/bobcats/...
