Re: I'm suing ACPA and Philippe Gauthier

I know what happened...and I know what the TA2 gang didn't do... Recalls, FOS, government intervention, Negots committee members going to school full-time can't hide the truth Just remember.... MM, PA, and TL got the pilot group a worse deal than TA1 . Why are people breathing down MM? Don’t know h...

Re: Canadian Space Agency Political Selection

So Julie payette went to private schools, so did Trudeau...anyone know if Garneau did?

It’s a real kick in the teeth for the taxpayer to pick up her pension of $143k for life for being an abusive person.

No one on here has and facts. 200 people who were surplus but still flying are going to be moved to active status. And there will be no more than the orginal 600 Furloughs till October. We didn't give anything up. This was all just agreed apon when they negotiated how to incorporate the new fatigue...

Re: Air Canada Hires Influencers Promoting Travel Amid Non-Essential travel Ban

Listening to Trudeau and then listening to influencers means a few things: 1. You probably have the attention span of a goldfish (or less) 2. You probably can't think for yourself 3. You probably struggled through college 4. You watch the kardashians/storage wars/pawn stars/or obsessed with trump 5....

Re: CargoJet or Transat?

What would you do if you had offers from both? Here's my pro and con list: - Transat Own's its own flying, but subject to competition from rouge, swg, westjet. CargoJet has no competitor but also relies on contracts. Purolator contract expires 2025 with renewal option. - Transat 5 years to 330 comm...

If you have the reference, that would be great.

Re: Air Canada Hires Influencers Promoting Travel Amid Non-Essential travel Ban

First Aid Qualified. Does not allow one to administer vaccinations. Sorry. This kind of mentality is why health care in Canada sucks. I'm sure you'd want someone with a degree in health care to give you a prick. The NHS in UK has hired hundreds of furloughed FA's to help in their vaccination effort...

Re: Air Canada Hires Influencers Promoting Travel Amid Non-Essential travel Ban

Trudeau is failing in his own vaccine rollout, and wants to punish other industries to save face. He doesn't attack public transit, because his voters rely on it. People who are most likely going to travel right now, probably aren't die-hard liberals. Period. At best, they disagree with his travel p...

Re: Does Westjet meet the current threshold for foreign investment?

While Westjet is private and there’s little to no way for average Joes like us to see foreign ownership, I’m sure it’s a different story for the government especially when they already had to verify and approve foreign ownership levels during the sale/privatization. Also, Onex has done fairly well ...

Re: Air Canada Second Trip to C.C.A.A.?

Wants to maintain Air Transat as a seperate brand? Or Transat AT as s seperate brand? They are different... as it is Transat AT has sold packages that include seats on pretty much every airline in this country and half of the ACMI charter operators out of Eastern Europe. That's what AC is buying, n...

Diefenbaker killing the Avro Arrow, set the tone for us to be dependent on the USA for a space program. Our family could never vote Conservative after that.

Re: Air Canada Second Trip to C.C.A.A.?

History has a funny way of repeating itself. Instead of buying an airline started from CP Rail you are buying another Montreal based bloated whale. Between Bombardier, and SNC Lavalin, and AT once again Canadian Taxpayers money is being dumped into failing Liberal strongholds. Consider yourself in ...

From my understanding the testing process changes significantly every campaign. Payette was selected nearly 30 years ago so I'm sure things have changed. Your character while under stress/adversity is a major part of the selection process now. Everyone can play nice when think gs are going well. No...

Given the abysmal performance of Garneau, even Payette...is the CSA a liberal-blown organization? Selection based on public perspective versus merit? Thoughts? Not at all. Astronauts are the antithesis of politicians. Garneau is probably the last guy anyone wants as a politician, but did very well ...

Re: Has anybody given up?

A few years ago I started with a goal of working for a big airline in a few years, I was in my mid 20's and didn't have to money to commit to flying so I just studied theory and saved up for the flying. 4 years later I've been flying as much as I can but due to weather and how busy schools have bee...

Does Westjet meet the current threshold for foreign investment?

Westjet. Private. We don't see the books. Air Canada, Transat; Publicly Traded. Duty to shareholders to disclose. US counterparts -> publicly traded. As we know, no bailouts are coming. But given the enormous debt that AC has raised, (share offerings, lease buybacks, etc), what is the mechanism of T...
