Re: For folks around my age (Late 30s)
AC and WJ cause AIDS. The smaller the 705, the better your quality of life will be. If the music for the musical chair stops in the coming 5 years, you'll be better off at PD than AC or WJ. If it doesn't, will you? Terrible advice. You're better off at Porter if the music stops in the coming 5 year...

Re: BA versus YYZ controllers
It's an example of controller burnout, and unfortunately, it is happening more and more now. You can hear it in the voices of many controllers all across Canada. They are tired and their fuses are short. Put aside the politics and opinions on how it's gotten to this point; we, as professionals, nee...

Re: Pilot Hiring 2025
Interviewer here: 1 class / month all summer, 2 classes per month starting in the fall, no slowdown in hiring planned as of now. Do you sit in on the Article 7 meetings? Just to make it full circle and obtain honest feedback. I was not. Good to know (or not) that it’s a one way trajectory.

From Alkaseltzer: They don't believe in selling us permanent concessions? Only P4C does. I have less money in my bank account thanks to them. What a resounding turn of events. Lol...I don't think there will be AC pilots leaving for Flair unless there is a reason like they want to live at base... But the real point is...that a Flag Carrier pays less than a ULCC. This is a point of professional pride. Going to Air Canada should be a no Brainer moment...but it's more like "...

Agree or disagree with those who served in the union… Everyone should have a black list of those who have publicly berated them on forums and WhatsApp chats with personal attacks. You will never be allowed in the jumpseat. Not when I operate. Joby and Charlene and the rest of them are stand up peopl...

His relatives must work at AC. Only someone with inside info would try to pull that off. I wonder where he got caught. Maybe he did have relatives who work at the check in. But got caught by someone else. Canada really should have more than just airline employees checking validity of passports and ...

Re: Porter vs AC
You know if there ever was a time for all Canadian pilots to band together to improve WAWCON nationally, it's now. Instead we pretend to do it but still revert to bickering and defending our respective carriers, throwing shade any chance we get at each other. We will never get what we truly want, o...

Re: Are Encore pilots aware they are accepting 705 wages below PC-12 & King Air captain rates?
First, comparing Northern Medevac wages to regional airline wages is a fool’s errand. Wasaya ATR's regional 2025 - Wasaya starting at +$130,000 - Year 6 Encore :!: Where's Encore pilots try to exceed Wasaya? In America, airline pilots are always trying to outdo the top contract. In Canada we sit he...

Re: Porter vs AC
Speaking from experience, the appeal of flying a big shinny jet fades quite quickly and lifestyle is the thing you start chasing! IMO, if I were in your shoes I’d be staying at Porter. AC management have made it abundantly clear that Porter is a major thorn in their side. It would NOT surprise me i...

Re: Grievance update for the 285ish former Jazz pilots affected by Flow
This should be extended to Jazz pilots that joined AC in 2022 as well. Plenty of Jazz pilots interviewed at AC in late 2019/early 2020 and were in the hiring pool when COVID hit. Instead of AC re-interviewing and hiring these pilots first when hiring resumed in the spring of 2022, Jazz held onto ma...
