Re: Pivot Announces New Routes out of Kitchener (CYKF)
So, it's been four years since pivot's big route announcement......when do they start? hahaha.... I keep seeing 'big' personnel announcements from these guys as well as their partnership with Connect Airlines (still waiting for their sched start up too).....does pivot even employ any pilots?

Re: Very odd
Unfortunately official inflation isn’t accurate when it comes to housing. Based on your exemple from $19000 to $33000 we are looking at a 70% (ish) increase of wage. The housing market didn’t go up by 70% in the last 15 years… A condo I bought 275K in 2016 is now worth 800K. And we are talking abou...

Re: Very odd
I did adjust for inflation. Also, today a 500 hour pilot gets the job, not a 3000 hour pilot.

Re: Very odd
I started there as a KA FO in 1998 with 3000 hours at $19000.00 which, in today's dollars, is around $33000.00. Yes, that's a bit of an improvement.

Re: Highest Paid Corporate pilots in Canada?
No, the $600K salary is for real. Those guys make huge amounts of money doing private charter and they do really cool trips with great overnights. Right now I hear they're staying at a nice government resort in the Dominican Republic.

Re: Bad press from the CBC
I love the CBC propagandists. They interview a woman who was away at a foreign university studying, and she has the nerve to complain about 'inequality', as if just anyone gets to go away to a foreign country to take a program for a couple of years.... Then they interview a doctor who makes $5 or 6 ...

Re: Is This The End Of SkyRegional?
I have no idea how deep his pockets and those of his "friends & colleagues" might be, do you. Well, I had a look at his business history and I don’t see anything that would have required a $100MM+ capital investment at startup. I do however see one corporate insolvency that resulted in liquidation....

Re: Pivot Announces New Routes out of Kitchener (CYKF)
I'm guessing there is an exclusivity deal with the airport for a while, though I doubt this operation will last to the end of it given who is on the management 'team'. If they do last until the routes open up, I look forward to seeing Encore and Jazz come in and do some steamrolling. Who would pay ...

Take a look at Linked In and search Pivot Airlines, or their website is 'flypivot.com'. That's the new GGN.

Re: Nav Canada to Hike Service Fees by 30%
NavCanada is not 'terrible' or the 'worst'. They do a good job by any measure in their supporting role within the air transport industry. However, NavCanada is a disgustingly bloated monopoly. Air traffic controllers are paid far too much and the fact that nobody from NavCanada has been laid off is ...

Re: Air Georian pay?
This is what they're doing: https://home.kpmg/ca/en/home/services/advisory/deal-advisory/creditorlinks/air-georgian.html Trying to pull off a sale under bankruptcy protection so they can start up regional feed for a 'major airline' which, I'm just speculating here, is not Air Canada. No doubt all th...
