Time line to get van base

What is the best aircraft to hold a yvr base for a new hire? If a new hire got yyz base how long will it take to get to yvr. Also any commuters on here what do you spend in a month commuting.

Re: Esop reduction..

Serves you right. You sold off the next generation of pilots purely in the hope of getting an AC seat that would have gotten anyways. Enjoys those C4 passes and having AC rampies bump you to the back of the slave ship when you’re deadheading. Why are you angry with the pilots. Its management who ar...

Re: Esop reduction..

Jazz is not a career company for me anymore. It's great dont get me wrong. but the company is clear they dont want people to stay here. Nah, they just know people will leave anyways. Still a good company to work for. Not sure what you were expecting? Never said it was a bad company to work for. For...

Re: Esop reduction..

First of all when the ESOP was introduced it was at 33 1/3% match, then up to 60 for the last few years. November 2017, a message to all employees from Joe Randal regarding the ESOP stated that although the board approved another year of 60% match, the average employer match is 25-30% and a “move t...

You will either get yyc or very soon after you start. Dont worry about the base. You can always change that.

Re: Think carefully before you make your next move

There is alot of money on the table for both parties, are you sure ac and jazz will walk away from increasing wages by a little bit. I dont, I think we can fix the 2015 deal here. MAKE JAZZ GREAT AGAIN!

Re: 17 year TA?

It's good and bad. I'm so conflicted. To bad they didnt add $5-$6 more to starting fo pay to really lock this in. The good- movement will be fast lots of people going to ac The bad - the YOS and "pay increase" are both insulting...and anyone else notice that no pay bump in July for guy 6 years and u...

Re: 17 year TA?

Well, it's better than current but it's really not alot. I would think with all the extra years on the contract and are ability to not STRIKE if the pilot shortage gets worse to increase wages you would think they would give us better incentives. Oh well I guess I'll be the disappointed child on Chr...
