Re: Emirates after AC
The term “resign” could be a mercy. Used very loosely.

Re: Does anyone know what the MEC is actually trying to get out of the ULP?
While I agree with the concepts you propose, do you really think the ACA negotiating committee is going to use bargaining capital on your next contract to have a PML included in your CBA? Full disclosure. I’m an ACA pilot. It depends on whether we want this solved or not. I am certain Rudder and I ...

While I agree with the concepts you propose, do you really think the ACA negotiating committee is going to use bargaining capital on your next contract to have a PML included in your CBA? No. That’s unrealistic. I’m not afraid of s35. I don’t care at all about staffing issues at another company. Th...

Re: Final Report, Landed On The Wrong Runway
Much easier to have the localiser frequency and front course pre-selected. Then just fly raw data. I'm a firm believer in keeping things simple. At my Airline no complex FMGC entries are allowed below 10000' descending for the approach. How does that work when there is multiple rwy changes below 10...

Re: For folks around my age (Late 30s)
Hey everyone, I’m currently holding an FO position with Porter on the Embraer with a decent seniority (64%) with a potential left seat upgrade in a year. Lately, I’ve been considering a career move to Air Canada, and I’m curious to hear from others who may have made a similar switch or are thinking...

Just another example of the worst lowest rent controllers on earth. Totally unprofessional. Ignoring requests for the freq is just plain juvenile. Switched early? Big deal. People make mistakes. Reducing safety margins to prove a point?
Pathetic.
Pathetic.

Negotiations resume next year. A great deal of the current contract is yet to be implemented. This is nothing short of a disaster for the union. Can totally understand why some pilots have lost faith.

I am ready to bet that anyone getting an engine failure in real life will be getting stressed. It is a normal and expected reaction. Just common sense. Seriously. Very bizarre to say you’d be cool and totally calm when the s*it hits the fan. I don’t think most posters on here have any kind of real ...

Re: Flight Attendant strike vote opens on July 28th
I think the new pay scales are fair, ive been told it would be a salary of 30600 a year on year 1, plus approx 15 k or more in perdiums plus additional pay benefits aswell. A year one FA would be looking at 46-48 k a year or more, for only around 12 days of work a month and thats only year one, the...

Heres an idea... Since you and Altiplano are so bothered by flight attendants because they won't sleep with you, you guys can just screw each other 8) Thanks for the laugh but very happily married. From what I saw of the Picket Line, Jenny Craig should have set up a booth. That’s hilarious. Want to...

It is quite remarkable the kool aid still exists at WJ. Coping mechanism most likely at this point. Obviously talking about the ones still spewing this stuff.

No they aren’t but there’s nobody passing on upgrades cause they’ll get a crappy schedule by being junior. At AC you get guys passing on upgrades cause they’ll like having a better schedule while the guys that take the upgrade know that they’ll be sacrificing their schedule for money. That hasn’t b...

junior schedules seems to be that, bunch of CDG / LHR , 24 hour layover, good thing is you are gone 48 hour, compares to the brutal 4 dayer 12 legs pairing we get on narrow body. To each his own. I’d much rather do 3 legs a day on a NB and be within 2 time zones than do a long red eye, stay up, res...

It's corruption pure and simple. The people in the yvr acc are corrupt, they are gaming the system to their own benefit, and they don't care how many airlines they rip off to do it, they don't care how many passengers they inconvenience, they don't even care how many career paths they derail. They ...

You’re the last person anyone should take any advice from. Did it leave a scar? How big was it? The scarlet S endures. Don't let preconceived notions prevent you from accepting good advice. The industry only has a couple of major players and management all started the same way we did and have frien...

Who cares if you're in ground school and quit to go somewhere better It’s nothing personal it’s just business brotha You cost less than 3 turbine blades This is not very good advice in my opinion. Re: YYZ RJ landing Accident
I'm wondering if perhaps the FO had bad experiences during training. I've had a couple of sim instructors that were ridiculous about speeds on approach. Quotes such as "If you exceed Vref +10 at any point on approach during your flight test it will be an immediate fail" without any nuance with rega...
