I was just answering Mig28's question. I did not express any opinion as to whether it was a good or bad thing.

I did most of my training there and I really liked it but I don't think the instructors that are there now are too happy with the conditions. If you didn't do you instructor rating there it is next to impossible to get a job there right now. You can only instruct on the twin if you are a class 2 and...

I think that you can get special permission from transport to have pilot B log the time as PIC. It was along time ago but they may still grant permission.

I wouldn't recommend Morgan Air. There were very few students and seemed a little disorganized.

I called out there a while ago and this lady told me that they don't hire pilots on the ramp she said they were looking for people who would work on the ramp long term. Don't know she might have been trying to brush me off.

Instructor Rating

Just wondering where the best place to do an instructor rating is. Looking for a place where there is good instruction, instructor has good availability, job potential, etc. I am willing to move anywhere in Canada. Thanks.

Jetsgo has a Transport Canada guy sit in the cockpit for every flight because majority of their pilots are underqualified. Add the cost of the ticket and the amount of money you are paying in taxes (TC guys salary) for jetsgo to remain operational and your ticket is far more expensive than most airl...
The selection process for airlines in europe is quite different. I know a guy in germany who started on the 737 with 220 hours. Many airlines hire people with zero flight experience and train them from scratch.
I know guys who got hired with AC with 220Hrs. What's your point?

What most of you fail to realize is that being Canada's largest airline it is going to be in the new more than the smaller ones. People are reluctant to call in and comment on how well they were treated but won't hesitate to complain. You won't hear on the news how great Air Canada's service is but ...
