Re: Fed's predicting AME surplus

Oh crap! I know it's already happening! Schools are just pumping out apprentices every year, aircraft maintenance course is just becoming a business for colleges! But on the other hand, if I want to get paid for $24 at Premier Aviation, I might as well go back to school and take electrician!

Re: AME Wages - AME's Unite!!

If you think you are underpaid, time to move on! I also think, if you are licensed with experience, you have a bit of choice, and if you are avionics, even more choices! Big planes, big profit, good wages! Little planes, little profit, little wages! And still remember about ten years ago, I met an A...

Re: What is a typical time to gain an AME license?

What is a typical time to gain an AME license after graduation? Urban legend had told me that it takes a longgggggggggggggggggggg time. Especially the avionics license. 2 to 3 years after graduation is just a dream. Is it much more than that? 2 to 3 times more? Is TCCA too tough?? and/or the employ...

Re: If you have a chance to start all over again .. A&P or

Like what the other guy said, it depends where you are working and also depends on your knowledge and experience. From my experience, I got my AME license first which requires for being an apprentice for two and a half years with an "accreditation". Later on, my company required someone to have an A...

Re: Airline AME PayScale

@Trumpfan--Thank you for your post--That WJ salary looks really good!

@Neverblue--Thanks for the post. I also like pension, but only if it is a government job, or a teacher's pension, or a bank pension, they have less likely to go bankrupt.

Re: RBC replaces Canadian staff with foreign workers

Bell, Telus, BMO, are the companies that I know who uses call centre agents from another country! But RBC is taking it to the next level to see if Canadian's would would actually say or do something! I always think, and i'm vocal about it, that Canadian's specially "Ontarians" would always swallow w...

I'd love to have that buddy pass system! That is the previlige of working for a big airline except I work for a cargo company. I know someone from A/C Jazz or should we call it "Chorus" who is selling buddy passes!! I hate the fu@king guy, you want his name? :D :D
