Re: No more 24 month PPC 703

Modi13, you are correct. I was going to post the same thing. Doesnt mean that it is good for 24 months, just that you can do the training 90 days in advance but keep the same date of expiry.

I LOVE California.

the 360 is much better but lots to consider: upgrade, cost of living etc.

Not a bad decision to make, both would be fun.

just what i heard.

the Falcon 2000 is for sale as we speek. I hear the 328 will be around for a while yet.

I did hear that they may lease a few aircraft and have another company operate them. Much like CNRL with Canadian North.

I guess we agree to disagree. Not every aircraft is the same and I am sure that some aircraft it is not required (every light to med turbine i have flown it was required). It comes down to pilot preference. I just follow SOP's and AFM's. Not trying to nitpick but if a guy breaks SOP's on pitot heat ...

YES, you can see you nav lights in the daylight. I have parked in PSP in 40 degree C with the sun blazing in my eyes and I still can see the Nav lights on (APU or GPU was on). Oh ya, I had the pitot heat on when we left (at 40 degrees). Why? because thats SOP and the last time I checked the higher y...

Not disagreeing with you Cat.

Just that my SOP's have always said Nav lights on when there is power to the aircraft, THEN beacon on just prior to start.

do whatever turns your crank. I just follow SOP's. Every airplane and company i have flown and know off run the nav lights when power is on. I have NEVER seen an aircraft with APU or GPU running and the Nav lights off. You should start going around to all those pilots and tell them you think they sh...

Ya pilots dont look at a map enough but when flying into high density airspace you can file one thing and get a completly different route. Best to look up recently used routes on fltplan.com or flightaware or ask. Nothing worse then spending 30 min trying to figure out waypoints from some clearance ...

I have to agree with Go Guns.

Ya on small GA aircraft you dont need nav lights on but any larger aircraft you should.

We ALWAYS turn nav lights on when the APU or GPU is on so that people know there is power to the aircraft.
