Re: Turbine Otters Revisited
The Orenda was a great looking alternative. A 750HP version with fuel injection would be a very nice fit for the ol' Otter !
I hope the people at TRACE can actually see this project through as well as keeping the price in line $$$$$.
750K for a pointy nose is massive retardation !

Re: Turbine Otters Revisited
Christ ! That Husky is one ugly concept. Nice to see Orenda / Trace back in the mix. I see on their website that the Otter isn't on the list of a retrofit but the Beaver is. 600 HP is a little light if you're trying to make a better airplane out of the Otter. As for the Beaver, pretty good the way i...

Re: Beaver down off Saturna island?
Not sure if I can get this picture thingy to work, but here goes a picture of our Beaver with the modified door handles. Pretty easy mod and it enables the pilot to open both rear doors without leaving his seat.

Re: Bose X vs. Lightspeed Zulu vs. David Clark X11
I've used DC's for several years. Tried a Bose but sent them back. They were comfortable but wouldn't keep up to the noise canceling during take-off. Just bought a LS Zulu a few weeks ago and so far am very happy. Nice and light, noise canceling works great, blue tooth feature for the cell phone is ...

Bush pilot entrepreneur ?

The package contained a street value of approximately thirty-two thousand, two hundred dollars ($32,200.00) worth of marijuana and Perc...

Re: Air Canada liable for lost, damaged luggage
So I guess we can conclude that one should not check anything that they can't afford to have wrecked or stolen !
I wouldn't be in business very long if that was our policy

Re: Air Canada liable for lost, damaged luggage
Yeah ! Not the best Idea but I had a long flighty through Dubai - Toronto and didn't feel like lugging it around with me. I also had my headset in my checked bag but apparently the thieves had no interest in becoming pilots..........smart guys ! I just figured that if my bag was in control of the ai...

So who do you suppose is responsible when you gather up your checked bag and find out that some expensive item from inside has been removed ?

Re: Gangs infiltrating Canadian airports
Well if anyone comes across a Dell with a bunch of decals ( Snowbirds, DeHaviland etc.) from the Pearson flea market please advise me. I might even offer a reward, there was some info on that computer that I would like to have back.
Cheers,
Cheers,

Re: Gangs infiltrating Canadian airports
No surprise here,
My laptop that I mistakingly put in my checked baggage last month on an Emirates flight mysteriously grew legs in YYZ and vacated !
Still trying unsuccessfully to get someone from Emirates to get back to me. My guess is I'm SOL

Re: Question for the Beech drivers.
All depends on experience and how badly you're needed. It's probably good to have a few thousand hrs of float time with maybe some Otter time in there but guys have gone onto the 18 with alot less. It's a challenging airplane but it will do a pile of work when you get it figured out and most importa...

I'm assuming your looking to apply for a pilots position, manning the pay toilets..... not a great career choice. There are 2 companies. Maldivian Air Taxi which is Borek and Transmaldivian Airways. You should be able to find all the info on their websites. Here are some links, Good luck ! http://ww...

Snowbirds can't manage to keep their simple tutors in the air... perhaps too much whiskY? Gte better palnes or get rid of the...
