M2 but no endorsements. Guess it's a bit of a catch 22 in a way. Need to get a permanent contract to get an endorsement course etc. We'll see what the new year brings. Thanks for the info gents. Happy Christmas and New Year to you all.

I used the ASA Aviation Maintenance Technician textbooks by Dale Crane to study for the M rating exams. There were 3 books, General/Powerplant and Structures-Systems(divided into 2 volumes). They were pretty comprehensive and I passed. I bought them on Amazon. Hope this helps

Contractors paid less than Permanents. Is this true?

Hello all. AME just arrived in Montreal from the UK. Interested in contracting. Was told by an agency here that contractors get paid less than Permanent staff. Is this true? First time I've heard of this anywhere in the world. What would be the point of contracting if this was the case? Any one out ...

I'm a BA tech at LGW, shortly be off to Montreal to live and work myself. The other blokes are right with reg'ds to immigration. Got my permanent residence status almost 4 years ago, and now just got my Transport Canada license. Send me a PM if you want any info, cheers.

Hello Boltondave. You say that a B1/B2 will be good to count towards experience time when applying for issue. Do you think EASA 'A' License would also be acceptable by them towards experience time requirements?
