I built the Murphy Elite. O-360 Lycoming with a Hartzel Constanst speed prop. Works great on wheels. I built Murphy's 1800 floats but used as many solid rivets that i could. On top of an already busy morning, there were some issues on Saturday that necessitated the slowdown... Any Staffing problems? Would there be any "Contact positions" coming up? You know, for that "busy" winter season? I know of a recently retired "East Low" pusher who might answer his phone...........

The down and clear requirement was a knee jerk reaction to an incident in St. Johns years ago. It has been suggested that the requirement be evaluated on an airport by airport basis. May I suggest appointing a moderator, for this forum, who has experience in ATC/FSS ? Not that it has to be a requirement to be a moderator. It is just that experience in the ATS field would balance the moderating.

EVERY time I buy a litre of Avgas I pay the federal goverment for Transport Canada services. Up until 9 years ago that included ANS. When Navcan took ANS over I did not see a reduction in the excise tax on avgas. I have never got a "free ride" to fly a private aircraft in Canada. The fuel excise tax...
