I don't think that low skid gear would make much difference for the ground effect. Seeing that the peak is a pinnacle of snow, their would be little cushion from ground effect in my opinion. I've heard on CBC news in Halifax that a cargo Boeing 747 is off the runway and near the perimeter fence. Anybody on here get any photos or more information?
