Re: Debt-ridden Wasaya Airways in ‘danger of collapsing’
All that has been suggested is that key people are corrupt and/or incompetent The way I read it is that some customers, who also happen to be shareholders, have not paid their accounts. Where incompetence comes in is the company management continuing to do business with customers who don't pay thei...

Re: WestJet Captain receives passenger's sexist note
Do we really CARE?? I don't. I don't care for the male's attitude but I do care that there are still Neanderthals amongst us who think that way. The captain handled her Facebook entry well. I guess, my point is, why even acknowledge that the jerk even exists? There will always be these attitudes, a...

convicting them due to association by ethnicity I realize you are desperate to make this a racism issue just like you try with every other topic you chime in on, but please just stop. No one has said that the issues faced by Wasaya are a result of key people being Aboriginal. All that has been sugg...

Re: Debt-ridden Wasaya Airways in ‘danger of collapsing’
LC brings up a very valid point. They really need to replace what's left of their Hawker "fleet". You can only go to New Zealand so often for engine work and still maintain some viability. What are they down to, two? The 1900's are cycling out at a great rate, and the PC12 uses "Swiss Made" Rolex pa...

Well, SmokinJoe........there is NO patient on board at all for roughly 50% of legs flown. On at least 30% of the rest of the flights, they are most likely NOT priority medevac status. I've flown many medevacs my friend.....many are NOT priority! And yet.....EVERY SINGLE LEG these guys fly seem to be...

Re: Debt-ridden Wasaya Airways in ‘danger of collapsing’
Aloha goes bankrupt, TWA, PanAm, airlines big and small, around the world. Leaving passengers stranded, leaving serious arrears. Nobody accuses them of drunkenly riding off into the night with taxpayer funded skidoos. But in Wasayas case its what "they" do. When was Doc privy to the financials of W...

They'll just dip their paws into the tax payer cookie jar, and all will start anew. It's what they do. Good indication of crappy management is allowing debts to become that large in the first place. If the bills aren't being paid, the pop and chips stop flowing. Pretty simple? Pay the bill, you'll g...

Going to keep this short. Being interrupted during a check list, is just one reason I don't use them. I don't believe they are necessary for day to day operation of a fairly simple airplane. If something is off centre, then I definitely pull one out. Blind adherence to the written word can too often...

Re: "Commercial pilots need stall recovery experience" artic
Frankly, I feel it may be as basic as recognizing something is amiss, and having the SA to realize that what you're doing just isn't working. In the Air France scenario, I don't want to over simplify it, but cruise deck angle, paired with cruise N1, would have got the job done. It doesn't need to be...

Stalls in a 767, Cessna 150, Citabria, etc., all have two things in common. If you pull back on the stick, the houses get smaller. If you continue to pull back on the stick, the houses get larger again. And yes, this undeniable fact of life can be taught in a J3.

I've heard the figure of 21K as a wage for right seat folks on some jet operators? Is it really that low? Won't be buying a ticket on one of these carriers anytime soon!
