Re: How to get Transport to stop sending you bills for $55
If it is to save the environment, then there is an option to do it electronically. They will just send you the recipt after it is paid, so that you may file it. I am sure if you check out the website or call up someone from that TC branch, they will tell you how to set up for electronic billing. Its...

Re: PPL expense compensation –permitted?
this topic is a sketchy one, and I have spoken to a TC official in person about this matter. The problem with the term "for hire or reward" is a very grey area. The way they see it is that "reward" is not just a matter of money. Time building towards a commercial is considered a reward. My best gues...

Re: West Wind is in National is Out !!
marauder you are full of perverbial trash. I have spoken to my contacts at NAI and they were NOT shut down for maintenance or lack of any manager. Quite simply, remember to cross your T's and dot your I's. TC loves paperwork. The contract was NOT lost due to accidents but indeed as was said earlier,...

Re: Where did West Wind Aviation thread go???
allow me to correct you, i do not have my eye on one of those seats and i am not fully justifying the actions. As I said this may be a case where a poor management decision was made. I happen to greatly respect the guys that got let go, and for them to get the boot something drastic must have happen...

Re: Where did West Wind Aviation thread go???
wow you sure do crack me up. I have not read immature literature like that since i was in grade school. Oh yes and how sharp you are with your comebacks, someone give miss one hit wonder an award! Kudos to you! Maybe if your intellect was as sharp as your childish humour you would have read the rest...

Re: Where did West Wind Aviation thread go???
haha good one but unlike yourself my work etiquette speaks for itself and i don't have to suck anyones anything to get ahead in a company. No need to have sore knees or sore lips if you are actually pleasant to work with. If that's your level of intelligence then you don't belong in this industry.

Re: Where did West Wind Aviation thread go???
i dont know, i tend to like the uniform. LOL. This past incident with the firing of the 3 captains is one that boggles people's minds and is in no way a normal occurance at west wind by any means. Many stories have gone around but I refuse to comment until the truth is revealed. One rumor was about ...

Re: just another catsa rant.
alright people back to the topic at hand here, anyone no matter what race, once under CATSA rules seems to throw away all common sense. For example I was just finishing up a shift at YXE (for a company no longer in existance) and was getting on a westjet flight to YWG to visit some friends for my we...

Chances are that is just a temporary thing. I highly doubt Pronto is going to continue forever flying as little as they have. Just slowly building up. Fill the flights you have then expand, fill those flights, then expand more, then you lose as little as possible. As I stated way before, the falling...

I wouldnt be too quick to call this guy a whiner cuz from experience I know how bad TWA can be and all a pilot can do in a bad situation like that is just try to get on somewhere else and "bite the bullet" until then, even though with TWAs management it seems near impossible sometimes, some of the c...

I wouldn't be too quick to use a movie as a reference to flying in the real world. I've seen too many stupid things in movies compared to real life that I can do nothing but laugh (which confuses the hell out of my wife - start laughing during a part in a movie when nothing funny is happening, excep...

i wasnt meaning that people will choose an airline based on the logo, but for people not from northern saskatchewan, ones that are a little more picky may feel a little insecure and unsafe flying on an airline whos logo makes it appear as if its run by a bunch of carnies. Northerners will fly on any...

Their paintjobs look like I'm on a plane to Beetlejuice's hideout! Looks like they had each pilot pick their own design for each letter. I agree, although it IS saskatchewan, you'd think that they would have a little more professional looking logo, maybe people may take them seriously. Looking at t...

i wouldnt be too quick to bash the maintenance company in YPA. I think you were mistaken and thinking of NDAs maintenance in YBE. Elite Aero in YPA does nothing but top notch work to the aircraft they service. I should know, they've worked on my airplane and never had a problem. The guys up in U-cit...

Not all rampies are thieves. I dont know of any from any airports I've worked at. And a small addition to the comment about them only lifting carry-ons. In saskatoon the screeners make the passengers lift their own checked baggage onto a metal slide that goes to the bag room. This is for NWA's self-...

flyinthebug I think you need to keep YOUR mouth shut about things YOU know nothing about. From the sounds of it you never worked for NDA/NCA at all. GPU_lover is right. He didnt go bankrupt, just shut it down for his own personal gain, screwing many pilots over. How would you like to be up north fly...

NCA/NDA where are you now?
Just curious since it has almost been a year since the Feb 2005 destruction of Norcanair and Northern Dene Air thanks to the fearless leader, Mr. Webster, where has everyone relocated themselves? How does your new company compare to NCA/NDA?

that is total bull crap. i think it has to go out to the bag boys chuckin 80+ lb bags all day. You nailed it, the screeners only lift CARRY ONS!!!! I think the rampies just complain less, suck it up and do the work, and not continue to whine like little girls when they break a nail. I'd like to see ...

you may have 300 employees but do u actually think that all 300 actually want to stay there and are die hard "TWA-til-I-die" type of people? I dont think so. I'm sure that when the smoke clears, we'll see whos on top and who jumps ship. I'm not saying bang right away but it will happen and they'll d...

well i guess it doesnt really matter now does it? I mean how many planes transwest is going to crash. Because to write off airplanes you need to be in the air, and cant be in the air without passengers to fly. With Pronto starting up, good luck getting any. I sure hope management has finally learned...
