Re: Whiskey Echo Bravo call Markham?
Really eh? I need to be more specific, do I?... Hmmmm... Alright: I'm looking for a man who was an instructor at Markham Airport back in the late 70's/early 80's, who was a rather colourful character that many people liked (especially young ladies), and whose initials were W.E.B. .... izzat better? ...

Well, yes.... you could choose to focus on the few negative, and nasty style comments in this thread.... On the other hand, someone else might be able to see how many more, positive, constructive style comments have been added. Is your cup of AvCanada half full? ...or half empty?

Read Hedleys argument But sometimes he's not a nice person, so nothing he said is important or true. That's it! I was wondering when/how this forum seemed to improve.... Of course, now I see it, He's gone! I don't think "sometimes" quite covered it btw. ... more like "very often" on this forum. Bac...

I'm not sure if fixed wing beasties come any uglier than this one:

I still cannot believe a competent aviator would have made such a bone headed move.... Unless I see him say, "I screwed up", I'm gonna continue to believe it was intentional. Look how fast he was taxiing that thing for gawd sakes! I think he'd accumulated so much debt that his best financial outcome...

Good job!! But in addition to fixing whatever is wrong with the engine, somebody needs to do something with those wheel bearings. They aren't supposed to buzz like that... I'll second that! Sounded pretty loud... I think he rolled so long 'cause he was looking to get the thing off the road on the r...

Re: What If I dont want to work for Air Canada....
I would be perfectly happy making $30,000 flying around some dinky plane. Why is everyone so hell bent on just getting hours and upgrading their rating to the next bigger and faster plane. Well westcoasting, when life hits you with a kid, a mortgage, a wife, etc, making $30,000 just doesn't quite c...

I wish to hell I'd met Buffalo Joe about 30 years ago.... All my life, all I've wanted was to work for a decent man, who'd look after me, as long as I'd look after him... I never found that man... the world is filled with cheats, pricks and assholes.... It's damned good to see one who isn't. How do ...

AC considered the 318 before deciding on the Embrio's.... They looked at 318's, RJ-705's (I think they were, or are?) and Embraer... (unless my memory is worse than I know?) much to the surprise of many, the Embraers came out the winners in cost effectiveness at the time.... Or at least, so one woul...

Re: GEAR UP LANDINGS
Anyone else wondering how the two North Cariboo pilots would have voted a week ago? In the uber-elite 25% with Doc or with the 64% that think it just might be possible? We've all heard of the swiss cheese accident model. Never much cared for the analogy. I tend to lean towards the pass-code theory....

It's one of the new Obama hybrids. Sort of like a crocagator. Not at all like a crocashit. Now that we have the messiah as president, all kinds of new and wonderful things are happening in the world. Agtractors is just the beginning. :smt017 It's Obama's fault? or; He made up that name? :smt017 ......
