I used to show my CV/Resume/Application updates by putting the date of an update on top of the previous update. Any updates to date?
17 June 2009
10 May 2009
5 April 2009
etc
Not sure if there is a place to put this in on the new site.
Good Luck its a great place to be!

The bears are around Churchill from the time the bay is starts to open until it is frozen enough for them to go hunt seals (May long weekend until mid-novemeber) The mama bears will travel inland to have their cubs and the papas basically fast as there is not much for them to eat until they get back...

Sacrifices are never ending in this job. The missed b-day, anniversary, school concert etc, etc will continue until the day you retire. "Oh Honey, I got called in to work on my day off, again" Sound familiar? There are some fantastic spouses out there (mine included) that are willing to accept the s...

Instruction versus clearance
I was flying out of YWG the other day and the deprature controller gave me a heading to fly which I acknowledged by using my call sign, He then comes back to me and says I need a "read back" on that heading. Being the nice gut I am I "read back" the heading and continued to proceed on my merry way. ...

I used to fly floats off the Red River in Manitoba, anybody who leaves their plane in for more than a day will know of the brown scum that sticks to the floats, we used curling broom (brush) and scrubbed the floats daily. If you do this you have much work to do when you pull the plane out at the end...

I love YWG security, there's a new face every week, some young, most old. So I go thru security yesterday with only my jacket, wallet and some change (in the jacket pocket). No line up thank God but the "new - Old Lady - 60ish, stops the scanner to ponder the contents of the container which is holdi...

Just wondering if I should include non-flying work experience on my resume, including self-employment, or use the KISS pricniple. I have a one pager but alot of info on it. Would like to get to AC or WJ in the next year.

Cost of Commuting= tax write-off??
Hey all, Anyone out there know if I can write off the cost of commuting (via air) if I live in one place and am based out of another? Also what about room and board when I am staying at my base? Using QuickTax the help section talks about home terminal which could be construed as home where I live (...

I would agree with skipping the ifr for now as most assuredly it will lapse before you get to use it (for real). An instructor rating is a good way to start, however, there are companies who view instructors as people who can fly a great circuit. Try the road trip after your commercial and float rat...

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, an airline is a business. When you are sitting in the front of a boeing or airbus or whatever, you are the manager of that machine, the crew in the back and the PR rep for your pax and company. Some people have book smarts and can't fly worth a damn while othe...

Satellite Internet
Anyone have satellite internet, what does it cost per month. I called one place and the initial fee was $1G plus $60 a month. This was for 2 way hi-speed.
Any help appreciated.
