Re: Coronavirus Numbers

Even if you stick to the actual numbers showing up in hospitals, we are at only a fraction of the "best case" scenario projected overall. Who would have thunk that the elderly in "close proximity long term care facilities" would produce the largest mortality numbers, and the most overall cases as a...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Don’t know about calls but I wouldn’t worry too much about a hiring slowdown anytime soon. Pilots are still retiring in large numbers and the new fatigue regs are still happening, which are two of the large drivers of all the hiring going on. Even if demand slows down for a while and reduces the num...

Re: will AC take non ac express pilots?

Why would a CRJ/175 CA not be qualified to sit in the right seat of a WB? Because of their competencies: when you fly WB you loose your flying skills; it’s easy flying and you perform 2 ILS aproaches and 2 landings per month: you don’t know how to fly an aircraft anymore. It’s a great strategic dec...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

There were 2 Emirates 777 captains in my PIT course. Flat pay for a few years is better than living out your days in Dubai doing 20+ days a month of long haul. With the potential for quick upgrades, people are making big leaps nowadays.

Re: The Ol' PFO

I got PFO’d 7 years ago. Went and got another job, had a great time but still wanted to go to AC and decided to re-apply. Got the job the second time around. So like everyone says, keep trying. You’ll get another shot.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Anyone know if there is a course on May 13th? I’m just going on every 3 weeks so I’m guessing there is. And they should be filling that one soon. Have any calls gone out? If anyone gets a call for that course, could you post it on here just so we’re all in the loop? Thanks to everyone for all the in...

Re: Air Canada HR contact

I applied and never received an email comfirming my application. Emailed the technical support people and they said there is no application on file under my email address. So I applied again with a different email address. Still no confirmation email. My buddy who also applied recently showed me the...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Hi all

I just submitted my application this morning and was told I would get an email confirming my application. I still haven't received an email. Does it normally take a while? Or did I do something wrong?
