Re: Air Georgian says it goes extra mile for safety.

I wasn't going to say anything about this, but here goes Easy E again, spreading his bullshit. It's too bad that at a time when pilots are pushing for better duty times and better pay, this moron makes such statements. GGN guys get 11 days off a month, they work full 14 hour blocks, they earn 26,9 t...

Re: How airlines deal with 'customers of size'

If you can't fit into a seat safely then buy another. If I am sitting beside someone who can't fit in their seat and can't put the arm rest down it is a safet risk to myself should something go wrong. Call me an a hole or whatever but if you're obese to the extent that you can't fit in a seat why sh...

Re: cargojet

As I said before, not a union, but something needs to happen. It has, and I'm happy. Someone stood up and let it known the thoughts of feelings of many and a change came about. It's not often, especially in this industry, that such a thing happens. It re-affirms the commitment of the company to prov...

I hope you're right. I'm not a union guy, but I do want my life back. I enjoy it here too and want it to be successful as much as the next guy.

Re: cargojet

It's time for something. When the company delves into people's days off with no thought leaving some with a lousy 5 days off in a month it's time for something to happen, for the good of both sides. Not a hardline union, but something that will give the pilots a fighting chance at having a life. Wiv...

Word is the DFO will be the current union boss. TS is still there, thank God, he's great and GGN's lucky to have him.

Getting a BA or BSc or Georgian college diploma won't give you a back up at all. Granted it's good to have an education but nowadays a BA will get you a job answering phones. Something more focused like a Bcomm will do you much better, again though, after flying for a decade or so you don't have man...

Anyone know how many s/o's they have right now, or what the normal number would be?

I've got a few friends in there and they're very happy.

On board food

Are crews fed on the shorter trips? The one's where there's no grub for the pax, is there still food for the crew or are you left to your own?

Instructors at TAL are not getting paid 70 an hr, it's 40$ and the school is taking the rest. Maybe those cheap aholes that own the place could've thought about what they were doing before they did. Students will head up the road to another school where things are a lot more manageable, money wise. ...

no, I know the diff between a vis and a contact. I meant, does the "cleared for AN apprch" encompass all types? I've been cleared for AN apprch into yxz airport and come back and requested a contact for yxz airport to which the response has been, you're cleared for AN approach. I'm talking fields wh...

Cleared for AN approach

if ATC tells you "you're cleared for an approach" and you respond, cleared for an apprch in ABC, does this mean you're cleared for whatever apprch you want including a visual or a contact? I believe so, though others have told me otherwise, any takers? Assuming you can't get through to centre by the...
