Re: Georgian AD
GGN is gearing up to operate on behalf of WJ as WJ Link. Same as Pasco out West. Yup but only Pasco pilots will be upgrading to CRJ. WJ Link only wants the CRJ for potential route structure granted by the FAA in the agreement with Pasco to fly to the US . Jazz took whatever GGN pilots on flow thoug...

Re: A message to all GGN Pilots from a Jazz Pilot
It really is a simple choice for GGN pilots....either you stay or you move on to Jazz. Jazz (ALPA that is) has to decide on a cut off date, as it would be really unfair for any new Jazz hires (coming off the street) to be over taken by GGN pilots that end up dragging their feet beyond the agreed cr...

Re: Pacific Coastal Airlines-US Approval
Stop guessing . It’s GGN. CE telling people WJ is their new big daddy . Soar program and sketch safety with both of these operations is not setting a good example for WJ. There will be no happy ending. WJ has just lowered the safety bar.

Re: Georgian AD
GGN looks good on paper, and social media ads, they sell a good con at career fairs. Give the person a few months to figure out that Air Canada pulled out for a reason . It's called safety .

Re: DOH merge.
Westjet/Onex and Air France interested in Transat, so we know why AC went from 13$ to 18$... Let them have it. Yup. Let them shuffle it around and make it into an express version of what we do . TS you are not an improvement . You are not any more than a charter airline who has overseas seasonal fl...

Re: DOH merge.
There is so much garbage and venom on this thread, I have no desire to read it. We are just pawns in a game played by others. I am not going to argue with other pawns who like me, have no control over what is happening, it's useless. I am just going to continue to do my job, with a positive attitud...

Re: DOH merge.
ACPA is not going to allow a seperate pilot group to operate on behalf of AC. Allowing that is the beggning of the end. No major airline in North America allows it. The contract prevents it. You are right and the same for Air Canada CUPE back end . The only way it's going to work is keep it separat...

Re: Air Canada Outbid
Outbid by a company that has to get a loan from Quebec to pay ? That's smart , not . They are blowing smoke to cause Air Canada to be alarmed or increase the offer . They have not even sat down with Air Transat and already they are shooting off to the press. Who wants a real estate firm that needs a...

Re: Air Georgian loses libel suit
I'm so sick of reading the name Air Georigan . Glad the voice of rationale ruled in favour of the pilot . Everything he wrote is accurate. It says a lot about a company who uses lawyers and attempts to destroy a persons life because he had a genuine safety concern which was shared with many of us wh...

Re: AC offer AT $13 per share
Not to mention the Azores bird is still in the fleet. Is the pilot? I seem to recall he was a former drug smuggler. Not sure how the Transat background check missed that. 2016, two Transat A330 guys, arrested in Scotland for being intoxicated then getting away with it because of a glitch , authorit...

Re: AC offer AT $13 per share
TS is in financial trouble and they already announced they were looking for buyers prior to Onyx buying WJ. It was in the media. TS stock raised the day they announced the company was on the market . But it doesn't mean they can sustain the losses if they did not secure themselves. AC needs their ai...

Re: 17 year TA?
:| With yesterday’s ratification result, GGN will be relegated to a 3 B1900 Express fleet out of YYC. And even that will only be at the leisure of AC. Perhaps AC will permit GGN to bid on <51 seat prop flying. Time will tell. The GGN pilots have the option of using their DOH to fill vacancies at Jaz...

Re: 17 year TA?
This is what they sent to us. Interesting the games they are playing with you. Rest assured the same BS won’t happen at Jazz. I understand one of the reasons AC, Jazz and ALPA agreed to integrate the Ggn Pilots is the need to allow for a smooth transition. That’s the only reason there would be a de...

Re: 17 year TA?
What a crock of shit. GGN really trying hard to muddy the waters. Let's make it clear. You are offered a job at Jazz. Before your effective date, you QUIT your job at GGN. GGN has absolutely zero control over who gets to leave and when they leave. If you think for a second that staying to fly an un...

Re: 17 year TA?
Well for one, ggn and sky both joined Alpa and now one... The bottom feeder is gone. Wish it was that simple. GGN does not have a signed contract with ALPA. We signed cards then GGN put oil in the path of negotiations so to form a slippery slope. GGN are stating that they still have flying in the f...

Re: Canadian Pilot Unity
I get it and I know it will greatly affect me. It would suck to sit where I am when I thought at the time I got hire that by now I should be enjoying either a Captain's pay or at least a great FO schedule, It would suck to see GGN guys hired after me slide right into a CRJ spot I'd like to have a s...

Re: Canadian Pilot Unity
What will happen to those are scheduled for CA upgrades at Jazz. Will they get CA protection pay in the event they get bumped. GGN does not even habe a contract with ALPA. They signed a card and became part of ALPA. They still operate under an old contract from a defunct union because ALPA could ne...

Re: Canadian Pilot Unity
Unity across the board? That's a little communist for my liking . This is not a merger. Or at least Air Canada does not want us to think it is . If it is, I'll wait for the memo . Back to unity . And I'm not singing KUMBAYA. MY DOH is like my social security number and it belongs to me and only me. ...
