Nice troll. Regardless of which union you have, who you place on your negotiating committee is key.

Re: Who will bid the A220?

The smartest answer i heard so far is that their will be a split. Top 50% senior bottom 50% junior with a sizable gap that between both groups. The course rights created this situation whereas it was built with some sort of linearity to career progression, but reality is we all go thru life events t...

Re: AC offer AT $13 per share

AT will not have to pay the breaking clause since in the fine print it stated if someone else came with an offer of more than 1$/share of what AC offered and that AC doesn’t match they are off the hook. Plus it’s not only 14$/share. It’s close to a billion dollars offer in value as they offered to s...

Re: DOH merge.

We might see an end to the flat pay concept at least for the ones on the property the moment the purchase is completed. No junior AT pilot will loose pay or vacation. The merge list will make them slot in the proper pay table with a top up. AC year 1 is barely higher but then AT year 2, 3 and 4 is m...

Re: DOH merge.

I believe BOTL with pay provisions is the fairest approach. Or DOH predicated on how much the airline will grow, 40 AT airplanes / 200 AC airplanes = 20% DOH with pay provisions. These pilots will still have better conditions than they current have even with BOTL and stand to make WAY more for the ...

Re: Time for Transat pilot future poll

nd The AC/Cdn merger left everyone with a bad taste in their mouth because it was the forced marriage of two failing businesses that watched their combined market share dwindle. It's noteworthy that no pilots who lived through it have commented here, they've moved on, it was nearly two decades ago....

Re: Time for Transat pilot future poll

Regardless no doby will loose pay neither acrueded vacation because you allready have them. And in the big picture of things the 330 fleet at AC has the less efficient pairings of the WB fleet. Its fun flying in europe but for QOL the 320 works less days and more credits per month with less body fat...

Re: DOH merge.

Yes if West Jet buys AC then AC pilots are shit out of luck. This is not a merger its a take over from a business perspecivd. Scince AC is not buying the assets but the shares they have to respect the actual union labor. There will be negotiations and neither BOTL or DOH will win. So much involved, ...

Re: Time for Transat pilot future poll

Realistically it might not be DOH neither BOTL. AT group employees will not loose anything most likely protected on status/equipment/base and keep vacation entitlement. Negotiations will happen and some sort of ratio will come up to transfer some sort of seniority. Pay will be topped up for some and...

Re: Canadian Pilot Unity

Full disclosure, I went to AC on PML 1.0 and have no skin in this game. Having said that in my MANY years at Jazz I heard A LOT of ridicule about AC and the Canadian merger, the "lawsuit" and ACPA screwing others to better itself and how in the end it ended up sinking the whole industry. Now the Ja...
