Re: Entire application process timeline?

Is the HR department tied up in a slam right now? I've been 9 weeks in so far. All checks complete and no updates with a placement in the pool or PFO. I'm ATPL'd.

I was told there are only two people going through the applications. Is this true?

Application Timeline and Ground School

How long does the application process go for approximately after the campus interview?

I am reading there's approximately one GS a month. Is this true and are they filled for the remainder of 2019?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

What are my chances of getting an interview at AC with no 705 experience? It's been done before when interviews were much harder to get. My little company averages one per year but bear in mind it's never been one of the sub-thousand hour group who are climbing over each other to get to the door. I...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

I'm switching careers and just got a multi-turbine job at a 703. I have a post secondary degree and other certifications. What are my chances of getting an interview at AC with no 705 experience?

Hi everyone,

Anyone submit an application recently and gotten a call back? Wondering how long it takes/took to hear back after submitting the full application online?

Thanks
Within a week if you meet their minimum requirements.

Re: Perimeter Medevac

Any info lately on the medevac side at Perimeter? I fired off a cover letter and resume. Do they hire directly into the medevac side or do new hires need to do their time on sked flights? I like the 7 on 7 off.

Re: CargoJet or Transat?

Funny, the guys always talk about money, roster, benefits.... did anyone consider the red eyes stuff and it's adverse effects on your health ? and all these big metal birds do it more so for cargo ops obviously, you fight to stay awake every single night of your career, you do 10 years (if you surv...

Re: Making it to AC within the next 3-4 years?

Newly hired FO with a 705 carrier. I'm a career changer. Anything can change between now and 4 years but AC is the goal. Yes, crappy pay to start but what the heck, it's AC. Can't beat red. What are forecasted hiring trends looking like? How long do we suspect this wave will last? Just curious, who...

Re: Making it to AC within the next 3-4 years?

The problem with Canadian aviation summed up perfectly in one sentence. I agree. But what ya gonna do? It is what it is. Who wants to live in a sandbox? We live in the greatest country in the world. It has issues. It's not perfect. But it's home. That includes our aviation industry. I'm taking a pa...

Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Here is the drill. Jazz has published minimum experience hiring requirements. These do NOT apply to applicants from accredited college/university flying programs (effectively waived at Jazz discretion). Jazz trains these pilots to fly airliners in an airline environment (multi-crew/SOP/Part 705 Ops...

Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Yes. I know of a few that were hired sub 1000 with a Class IV. You also need 250 multi. Under 1000 with no multi will not be given serious consideration. Interesting - are they not picking up guys with 250 hours TT right out of college/University programs? I'm off the street so to speak, guess that...

Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Yes. I know of a few that were hired sub 1000 with a Class IV. Were these instructors out of flight college programs with an agreement with Jazz Aviation LP? I'm a career changer a little on the mature side. Is there any hiring currently going on at the moment with Jazz? Last I heard there was surp...

Handing in resumes N. Ontario - decent operators to visit?

I'm a SW Ontario guy with about 1200 hrs instructing under my belt. I am looking to do a road trip (do people still do that in 2019?) to operators in N. Ontario and hand in the resume. Also looking for reasons to get out of the house! Any suggestions on places to visit would be great. Seeking a 2 on...
