Re: Not a Lot of Traffic in The Lower Mainland
I keep forgetting that I bought my house in Aldergrove in 1999, or in other words, the previous century. Still, 1.1 mil is not the average for the whole Lower Mainland. Take Vancouver, North Vancouver and Richmond out of the equation because they skew the numbers. However this isn't a real estate ar...

Funny you point that out Rowdy. I used to avoid transiting Glenn Valley International due to congestion of students. The most I've encountered over three weekends this August is two.

Not a Lot of Traffic in The Lower Mainland
I've really been enjoying opportunities to go flying a lot more this year. I have been noticing though, that on weekend, clear sunny days I'm repeatedly being cleared through Lower Mainland zones with no traffic or being cleared as "number one, runway XXX" when I'm still miles from final. A few year...

Re: TC removed my CPL from license booklet
My doctor only issues cat 1 no-matter what license you hold. It reverts to cat 3 automatically when expiry occurs.
I pay about $115.00 which is a buck less than my Class 1 driver's license medical I did last week.

Re: High school student to attempt solo flight across Canada
Most of you guys are right. This kid is a disgrace. At his age he should be high on ecstasy at a rave somewhere trying to slip a rufe in your teenage daughter's drink instead of trying to get attention by flying a plane across the largest country in the world. Getting attention from flying a plane.....

With the prices of 150's and 172's in the states I am seriously considering going south of the border for a purchase. Since 150's are pretty much disposable at the prices they are asking I see no problem with putting the 150 in the owner maintenance category and flying it that way... You were origi...

Of the 67 applicants for a random job, one is a female. The next day, whose name is the recruiter going to remember? Whose resume details will be easy to recall? The woman will stand out as unique in the pack and a breath of fresh air at the sausage fest. Gender issues be damned, its like spotting a...

Are they using their own truck or is it from an FBO? An FBO surely would be following CPPI rules when it comes to off-loading.

Therefore the point of being fired for the charge alone is moot as the holding of the appropriate license would be a ...

Re: Sunwest Fuel Truck Flipped- OOPS!!
I drive fuel tanker tractor-trailers for a living (the pay allows me to fly for fun, but that's for another thread). When fueling planes you will probably have retain in the truck. A half full tanker is far more unstable and unpredictable than a full one due to slosh factor. I am sure the drivers ar...

Hey Mike,
Can't help you until February. My Dad will be 65 then and has no plans (to my knowledge) of retiring at that time. He has, however, cut down to a four day week.

There is just no way Slim Pickens would have been able to hold onto his hat while riding the bomb in Dr. Strangelove. That whole scene should have been on the cutting room floor.
