Re: Cost index

We use CI of 9 to 13 on the A320. Not at AC though. Low CI are being used by airlines around the world to save fuel.

Re: The Dumbing Down of Aviation

Hey Cat, when did you fly in Brazil? Who did you fly for? I fly the A320 for TAM in an out of Congonhas all the time. I lost a few friends on that accident. It's really sad. The airport hasn't changed a bit. In fact, after the accident they "made" the runway shorter by "adding" runway end safety are...

Re: anybody been called yet?

I believe that it is up to the individual more than the resume in order to be successful at WS. That has been proven time and time again by guys that have gone from king airs and twotters right to the 37. I suppose that these guys were pros long before they flew the glass and were good at their tra...

Re: Aviation in Canada - What's happening these days?

Nice work Daveg. You're cool. :prayer: Actually down3green, it seems like the industry at this point is solid although the hiring spree from Air Canada and AC Jazz has come to a screeching halt. Re: US and or Canadian aircraft operating in Brazil

ditto.
I have dual citizenship, brazilian and canadian, and have flown commercially in both countries. Canada is no different from Brazil.
One need the 'right to work in Canada' to fly for a canadian air service. You need to be a permanent resident or a citizen. Same thing happens in Brazil.

Re: Canadians Flying in Brazil

You have to be a permanent resident or brazilian citizen to be able to fly a brazilian registered aicraft for hire. Converting licenses is not a big problem but having the right to work is. Lots of hiring happening right now. Lots of bush flying, air taxi and especially airlines (the biggest airline...
