Re: Jazz AC FLOW

Personally wouldn't recommend leaving Jazz once you are on compound. Unfortunately AC will not hire you from an OAL if you left jazz until your cohort has received their calls to ac. Lots of guys who left Jazz who were hired in 2022 were hired who subsequently left ended getting hired after their o...

Re: A few YVR base questions

I was in the jumpseat a few days ago and the FO, who was hired in March I believe JUST got YVR on the 320. I think generally for FO's it's around 6 month-1 year depending on NB equipment. WB forget it, it will be a while now. The quick upgrades company wide have slowed down, albeit it's still quick...

Main emphasis is the bringing the jazz guys over as per the contract. Next two classes large majority jazz guys with some ots.

Next two classes are filled, nov class has had no calls. Most likely remaining jazz tho.

Re: Rise air Ramp to fly

Hi everyone, I’m currently finishing up my Multi-IFR and looking into career paths. I’m considering applying for a Ground Services Attendant role with Snowbird Aviation (Rise Air’s ground handling company) based in Saskatoon. Does anyone know if Rise Air currently offers ramp-to-FO transitions? If ...

I mean they kinda did. But the boo is the hot air coming from the white house and the middle fingers are 25% tariffs.

Caught up? Good good

Re: Winter 2025 Hiring

Is Jazz still conducting interviews for FO positions? I submitted my application last fall but haven’t received any updates. I’m not sure if this is due to my qualifications or if they’re simply not hiring at the moment. I understand they already have a large number of FOs, so I’m wondering if that...

Sucks sounds like you arnt going to the nhl of airlines. (Jk they say up to 12 weeks. Likely most of the groundschools are full so they notify you once a gs is available) Yeah, I just want to know the result but they are very quiet. No e-mail, No call, No reference or background check since then. A...

Re: How many years to earn $2M USD cash cleared at Emirates?

Their recruitment ad this week on social media says it’s $10,900US a month. So I’m not sure how someone thinks you can bank 200k a year, good luck. Also, they work you 22 days a month so I hope you’re going there solo, or you’ll be solo before long. Base salary is 10900... you still get paid hourly...

Who would that be, Pilatus pilots and instructors, AC is not hiring instructors(only) are they?
Why hire jazz captains when class 3 instructors are available?

South Africans is a good one. They're all over Africa and likely looking for safer skies. What about Australians? Nah if aussies leave australia and don't go middle east they go to the USA. They get visas there. It's great. Recruiter on linked in approached me from atlas and they did the whole proc...

Hi there, I’m currently a student pilot working towards my CPL ratings and IFR. I hold a valid category 1 medical with no vision restrictions. However I do have monocular vision which means I can only see out of one eye. I know air Canada has their own pre employment medical exam. I aspire to one d...

Re: Current Wait Time from Interview to Offer (AC)

It may also be slower towards the end of the year as AC pretends to fill its contract obligations by filling the classes with Jazz Captains. I kinda doubt that. If there are significant raises they will have a lot of applications from expats wanting to come home. I'm sure they'll hire them over tak...

I'd be willing to have a shit schedule for 2 or 3 years ya, that seems more than worth it. Then delay the capt upgrade another 2 years for lifestyle. I'm not really sure what to expect timeline wise. Thr question about current ifr is more the 6/6/6 rule. People are probably getting hired saying they are currently when in all reality they arnt. As long as you keep that up you are current. They are definitely cracking down friends of mine had to go to the sim and do some flying to get their recurr...

As far as I know very few (like an incredibly small number) guys have moved over this year from Jazz. Those guys being from seniority numbers of groups who have already left. A large portion of those hired to jazz in 2022 met and exceeded the minimum requirements for ac before coming to jazz. I know...
