Re: Instructor shuts engine down for forced approach. Norma
Speaking as a former instructor re;shuting down a good (and only) engine during arguably one of the most critical phases of flight...what if!?? Frikk'n idiot! Hope someone has informed TC. Shut-down during multi-engine training as per TC and the flight test guide = mandatory training... demo'd by in...

Re: Guelph Airpark for sale
As of today, a reliable source has informed me the restaurant at Guelph Airpark is closing, effective the end of March 2011. I was told, "...the airport is closing". I'm not sure about the school, fuel pumps, runways, private owners, ect. If true, it's a sad day indeed. Hopefully the TigerBoys will ...

Re: Maylan closed?
As a past Instructor at Maylan I saw it coming like a frieght train and as such resigned last APR/MAY 2010. I cared too for my students but could do nothing about the situation myself and decided to wash my hands of the whole affair. With the info I had, I tried to warn my students. I told them I th...

Come to Guelph... 1-800-599-7539
A little further to drive, however, no membership fees, friendlier staff, cheaper a/c, more availabilty and you don't have to wait two weeks to fly.

Re: Looking for help with PPL exam
A REALLY good study book can be found by PULTZ Private Pilot Licence study manual with practice exams. Google it for availabilty and sources that sell it. You'll find them to have very detailed and thorough information. From my personal experience, I suggest staying away from . manuals... I'll type ...

With Milton as the CEO
at the controls, the likelyhood of AC entering another death spiral, is something I'd bet on... and heavily might I add.

Robert Milton of AirCan buys registration C-FRAM for $10,000
I thought you might like to know... Fact; C-FRAM was until recently registered to a Jodel (A/C type) in Guelph, Ontario (CNC4). I know the owner personally who told me this story. Last summer (2008) he was approached by an anonymous party who telephoned him at home and offered to buy his registratio...

Re: Colleges In Ontario
Not trying to get into a pizz'n contest over which is better, a college vs a private FTU. As we all agree, at the end of the day the objective is to have a CPL/Multi/IFR and most of us know that won't even get you into the right seat. Typically most will end up going the Instructor Rating route afte...

Re: Flight Instructor Rating
This is great time. The school, as most, is trying to fight the weather, but that works into your favour. You'll not be needing good weather for a few weeks, just enough time to get some of the 'ground hours' out of the way while getting your lesson plans ready. The better weather should be arriving...

I've worked with over 75 instructors in my +20 years in aviation and Scott Peters is BY FAR the best instructor I have had the pleasure to work with. He's forgotten more than most of us will ever learn.
FYI He also did my rating.

Talk to Scott Peters at Aviation International, Guelph,Ontario @ CNC4
1-800-599-7539
Thee best Class1 Instructor money can buy ( I challenge ANYONE to argue it) and he currently is not that busy that he could do your rating in a relatively short time frame with a possible job prospect at the end.
