Re: Buffalo Airways Boeing 737-300
I had wondered about ad-hoc passenger charter when I read this, but it appears to be setup as a freighter, probably a lot more efficient being twin engine rather than the expensive 4 engine Electra, they must be looking to break into some of the 737-200 market, lots of competition for that class. I...

Re: Cannabis for COVID-19
Or maybe if you are spaced out-you dont know or care if you have covid. :smt040 :smt040 The cannabis industry is not doing so well . It seems every week there is another study revealing a miracle cure for something from THC. Its called marketing. I don’t smoke because I am a pothead. I smoke, eat, ...

Re: Snowbird crash in CYKA
Punching out of an out of control aircraft that went down in a residential area seems to contradict everything you said. The Thompson River was right there, and there are no residences in a right hand pattern. Why are only certain pilots sacrosanct? What meaning does the word hero have if it’s abus...

Re: Snowbird crash in CYKA
How have all these GENIUS's and arm chair flyers missed the most important part of that video. Everyone is saying he was trying to do a 180 to get back, pilot error, planes are old a garbage. First of all, they could have hit a bird. Which has brought down much new jets that's this. Second. Why did ...

Re: King Air at Gillam, MB
That pretty well sums it up! They likely flew over 20 miles of LANDABLE lake ice and dragged it in ( Instead of coming in high and circling so that they would have options ) only to finally do injustice to the A/C,,,, Comedy of errors I say! Perhaps someone can ask a few locals HOW good the lake ic...

Re: King Air at Gillam, MB
Kids these days eh. Probably have a couple hundred hours each, so they know it all. I'm willing to bet that if what happened to this crew happened to half of the people posting on this, the outcome would be quite different. Major koodos to the captain for getting everyone down in 1 piece. He should ...

Re: King Air at Gillam, MB
Do tell me; how the hell is a flight crew supposed to know how thick the ice is on the lakes below? Don't remember seeing surrounding lake ice thickness on METAR reports. Any good pilot flying into the north will have some idea of the ice thickness and its suitability for a precautionary or emergen...

Do tell me; how the hell is a flight crew supposed to know how thick the ice is on the lakes below? Don't remember seeing surrounding lake ice thickness on METAR reports. The speculation here, based entirely on a vague CBC article is sick. Get a life people and show some respect.
