What is in a name?
I have noticed since i started posting under the name g8gazu, there is a small group of people that seem to pick up on it as a negative. Almost like I am referring to myself. While some think it is the Flintstones charachter, it is actually referring to a great (gr8) old Lockheed Jetstar a friend of...

yes dreamin', I agree it gets a little thick sometimes. Just look at avcanada as though it's a hockey game. Someone slashes, they get a fistfull of retaliation. I am quite sure that if Jock Strap and I met on the road in some far off place and didn't know each other from this site, we would have a g...

Mcrit, What you are doing though is comparing personalities without the restraints of common employment against those that have those restraints. I am sure your online "deportment" is quite different than your employment "deportment" as well. If not, hell, even I would kick your ass! :) Having read ...

Agreed, but you're still not answering the question. If a pilot is flying into conditions he's not ready for, he should at least have the best equipment and training possible. Given very poor conditions and an inexperienced pilot, the new pilot will be far safer in a decent -200 than a twin piston....

I wouldn't place too much creedence on the numbers of them you see in Air Canada's livery. Embraer's Income from Opoerations, Net Income and Net Margin are all down due to lower delivery numbers and higher operating expenses. Bombardier just announced similar for their aircraft competing in the same...

CAT, you make it seem like none of us care about safety. You made the point that certain posters appeared not to care about safety. What you are doing is taking a certain ACUTE point of view on a discussion and running away with it. We are having a discussion and you are...wait, what is called, oh ...

The most fun and fondest memories is float flying. (also best for hangar flying DR) The most worthwhile and rewarding was air ambulance back in the days when you were the ambulance, not waiting to move stabilized patients. Castlegar at night... The single best flight though was at 320 kts 100 feet o...

I myself can't believe some of the crap thats being spewed out in here, to say that flying is a medium skills job and we're just glorified bus drivers. Well, let me add a little more disbelief for you. It is very much a job that can be performed by anyone with reasonable eye-hand coordination and s...

gr8gazu You are making the presumption on the premise that a fee is warrented. The fee was to pay for the AIP. AIP has gone the way of ethics in TC. I for one, believe his is just another tax based on the huge propoganda of "user fees". Good for the doctors. Actually Trey, I made the assumption tha...

I have a funny feeling he won't appeal to the commoner jurers. That should not have a legitimate bearing on the outcome but Blacks arrogance has been mentioned several times by the prosecutor. I didn't know arrogance was against the law but it certainly seems to have stepped up the prosecutors vigor...

When this filing fee started, it created quite a stink with the Doctors performing medicals as they "refused to be tax collectors". Rather than caving to the MD's and their association, TC should have just insisted they collect the fee and submit it just as retail and service providers do with GST. ...
