Re: Jump Pilot or Aerial Photo Pilot?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I appreciate the feedback. I am definitely happy at my Skydive position however I believe the quality of the flight hours I would get with the aerial photo job would be better which makes this a difficult decision. The Aerial Photo position involves traveling ac...

Re: Jump Pilot or Aerial Photo Pilot?

I accepted a job offer a month ago for a Skydive Pilot position about an hour drive away from my house. I have just finished the training and have started flying skydivers recently. I just got another job offer for an Aerial Photography pilot position however and I am confused as to whether I shoul...

Wages are too low... I hear you... I know no one likes to hear it... did it, and it wasn't ideal but manageable - my point was only if you are going broke at what is basically equivalent to the median Canadian family income level you're not managing it right. You know I agree with a lot of your pos...

IMO were better off building a deep water port, or two, and increasing our Arctic fleet significantly. If we really want to protect the Northwest Passage and the Arctic.

Not so sure how she was supposed to know the seller was a fraud? If it happened once, ok, you could claim she got scammed and know better. But apparently it took a year and a half for AC to get back to her to tell her the tickets were fraudulent? It's the internet, you have to be cautious, but if I...

I am a flight instructor that purchased a Bose X aviation headset whose external wiring has frayed where it meets the ear cup and now I am being told the only authorized service center in Canada no longer supports repairs for this nor carries parts. I paid over $1100 C for the bloody things and the...

Shoulda bought a DC. Actually I bought a Telex ANR and a Lightspeed ANR in that order before that and then I thought I’d spring for the so called “best” in terms of quality and so called “reputation”and went with Bose. NOW I am suggesting don’t necessarily trust the marketing hype. Funny how no one...

Re: 737 Max 8 Simulators

The PNF slides his seat back and uses the bottom of his foot to stop the wheel. That’s how I was trained. The stab trim also stops for 5 seconds after 10 seconds of MCAS burst. So during this maelstrom of misinformation and fighting for control of the aircraft the PNF just slides his/her seat back,...

With the AC flow through, mostly captains, coupled with the fact jazz hires sub 1000 hour no ATPL pilots, it will eventually catch up to them. I can see the hiring of Direct Entry Captains becoming a thing very soon. Get that PIC time. I don’t think you’ll see direct entry Captains, there are some ...

Can they live with us having the IATRA for a few months?
Lol. I'd say at least 300-400 FOs don't have their ATPL. You good.

Gonna cal bs on this....... Millenials are sitting in (eventually) super high paying seats. It started about 4-5 years ago. They will be flying in the stratosphere in a matter of 1-2 years.
