Re: Smaller Westjet vs Pay Pilots

Are you guys okay with arbitration? I've worked in unions before and arbitration has always lead to binding arbitration and that has always lead to the arbitrator picking the companies side because the union was always asking for the moon. I'm definitely not saying that this is the case with your gr...

Re: Avionics, Maint Release

The way i deal with this is i make it so its a stand alone defect for the E or S guy. I make a separate entry stating such and such removed to facilitate E or S repair. That way i sign for the maint side of things on one page and the E or S guy can sign for his work on another. Almost every job out ...

Re: Borek liquidating its assests

Borek's airplanes are worthless operated by anyone other then Borek. There engines are on condition and I dont think pratt and whitney even allows anyone new to run there engines on condition . If they do it wouldn't be just some joe blow operator. Also many of there airplanes have alot of LSTC's on...

Re: AME Licence Suspended for 14 Months

Sorry twotter you are wrong. I know this for a fact because i have seen it in a twin otter. You can say all you want on this form. When i was in the airplane i shut the electic pumps off and the engine quit. I changed the EDP myself. Ran the airplane myself and it worked like a charm. I have seen it...

Re: AME Licence Suspended for 14 Months

I have had few PT6 Fuel pumps quit on me. Yes they will run for about 10 hours with out electric pumps. But with that being said. How do you know that fuel pump hasn't already run for 1,2 or 3 hrs + before without an electric pump. You are letting a airplane fly on specutlation. To me that is not ri...

Troubleshot your a clown. He was only getting told to check the bulb. Light bulbs are elementary maintenance. A bulb is cheap. Bring it to a amo it might be the bulb plus the cost of the amo.

It sounds like a loose connection. Most probaly at the conection in the tail. It could be as simple as the element in the bulb is broken and it makes a connection until its shaken.

I agree 100% with Logsheet. If anything it is more expensive to live in Newfoundland. There is no way in hell i am moving back home for a job that pays less and for a company that likes to lay off a whole shift or work for a company that likes to run there operation like they are down to there last ...

not familiar with your type of aircraft. But i am assuming your airframe filters are clean and your airframe boost pump(s) are running fine. If not your edfp wont last long.

Yes you need a AME to sign off on your maintenance. The only work that can be performed by a private operator and dont require a AME release is found in CARS 575.109(a)(1). As for finding seal lube. Try getting a hold of somone at aviall.
