Re: KF Aerospace - Aeroflyer

A few things about this outfit from a friend who is there currently The DFO and CP are top rate people. DFO has been there forever and it’s been the only place he’s worked. A real pilots pilot. The CP is ex Cathay and a first rate guy too Watch out for the office lady. She wields a big stick and has...

Thank You

I just wanted to drop a quick note to all of the Westjet pilots and their MEC to so thank you. Thank you for sticking up with what you believed in. Thank you for raising the bar in Canada for all pilots at all carriers. Thank you for showing us what it means to be a valued aviation professional. Tha...

Re: ground schools canceled

Wait a second people - we are forgetting one thing here. At least the CP had the decency to come on here and talk and answer questions about the hiring processes and environment at Flair. I think that says a lot about his/her character. With the current goings on and this pending lawsuit, I am sure ...

Re: New hire bids

nope What’s the deal then? They keep their seniority number, get furlough and their initial GS is to be completed on the callback? I was in this Ground School. We got through week 1 - did base and aircraft draw on day two and got through most of CRM. We got our iPads and wings and bars and then got...

Re: Grab a seat. The music is stopping

This whole thing has me spinning myself. Two low time jobs in, pipes and skydiving with a little more than 800 hours. Finished my IATRA and Group one a month ago, then proceeded to fire out resumes to all the places I have wanted to work long time. Even told the skydive job I'd bow out and let them...

A lot of groundschools in Canada are already being cancelled or delayed due to covid-19. How is Jazz looking right now? Are they still planning gs every two weeks? Where did you get that information from? I spoke to our training coordinator at Jazz this morning and she told me we are still good to ...

Re: Jazz Pilot Pool

March 16 and March 30 GSs are still going ahead with 20 OTS pilots in each. All GGN pilots are through. When I hear of more GS I’ll post or whatever news I get about the future of hiring. Our April Schedule was delayed due to AC making changes to service so that will be a good indication of what th...

Re: Sim Eval 2020

What's the latest intel on the sim eval for 2020 at Jazz? Aren’t you in a ground school mate? Super basic IFR ride - SID, 45’s, NDB hold, loc approach - missed approach, single engine ILS to a landing It’s about being able to memorize the profiles and calls and use your CRM and to evaluate your per...

Would seem like a lot of trouble on the part of Jazz HR to go that deep in to the process and PFO someone no?

Re: Entire application process timeline?

Hey guys, Was just looking for some guidance on the hiring at Jazz. I have completed all of the steps including the sim evaluation, back ground checks, medical and reference checks. In saying that - things have been relatively quiet and I know my file is with Flights Ops for review. The whole proces...

Re: Entire application process timeline?

does ones application expire? 3 months in the pool so far, remaining pertinent but definitely curious. Yes it does. Got pulled out of the pool after 10 months. Never been told so during or once the process have been completed. Do you mean that they didn’t tell you either way your in the pool or not...

Just waiting now to see if I made it to the pool!

Your comments on JB, Dash-8’s and the hangar is purely speculation unless you are one of 3 people at CMA who lives in Smithers - which clearly your not. I HIGHLY doubt you have any inside information in to the financial goings on at CMA. Your speculation and hyperbole you are delivering here is hila...

+1 I work for the sister company and while it may be “one country, two systems” the cheques still come from the same place. I’ll share my insights. Like at every other place I’ve worked... I’ve never had a safety decision questioned. I’ve been stranded in the middle of nowhere with a broken airplane...
