Re: New hire bids

Anyone recently did sim eval in YVR could help me with some questions? Feel free to PM Thanks in advance. Easy : Take-off, steep turn, hold, engine failure, once the exercise is complete, they give back the engine for an ILS approach. Done. If unstable, a go-around, followed by a visual approach ba...

Re: New interview process

They will do a phone interview initially. Then they will ask you to come to Montreal for an interview. They do not offer a flight which is ironic since all other airlines in Canada do. After the interview there is a compass test and psych test. They will also do a medical. Great things are happenin...

Re: Transat or Porter?

Hello Aviators, You have 37 years left in your career. You want: 1. A great quality of life above all else. 2. To be home enough to start a family and be there for your wife and kids. 3. To be based in Toronto for the remainder of your career. You don't care about: 1. What equipment you fly. 2. Cha...

Don't you guys have a private Telegram or Signal or FB page you can encourage your peers to do what's right and follow Charlene directives?
Seems flying the flag is worth sitting on a 60% raise... oh well.

Re: Air Canada vs Air Transat

Doesn’t Air Canada have a pseudo bond, where the PPC is a restricted type rating with Air Canada and cannot be transferred to another airline? I don’t believe so. A lot of laid off AC pilots took their 767 type rating to cargojet during the pandemic. I thought the "real" PPC was at the 1-year mark,...

Indeed. Rudder has always been right.

Now one can't complain about the situation and has to shut his mouth?
Is that the new inclusiveness?

Disgusting.

Interesting to see more people going to YYZ than the other way around. I thought the loads would be close as people have to go back home at some point.

That'll be the case until the end of 2023. Then 2024 is another story.
I'm surprised they aren't filling up the class with 40 pilots though.

Re: New hire bids

The HR department likely is doing what they’re being asked to do. As I mentioned I applied recently with ATPL without any contact from them to start process. When did you apply? Seems strange you wouldn’t get a call with an ATPL. About a month ago. Too much experience. They don't want ATPL's anymor...
