As long as there is a reciprical agreement on a 1 to 1 basis where as an equal number of Canadian pilots go overseas as forgeign pilots come here I'm OK with it. That's true mbaviator, at least the Canjet MEC represented by ALPA has help. The Sunwing guys don't even get that, and from what I'm hearing they're bringing in close to 200 foreign pilots this season! Over 200 pilots are being brought in...and now they've stopped hiring..after only hiring 8 pilots!!

I hear 50 pilots layed off and a lot of cabin crew as well...wonder why so many layoffs while everyone else is ramping up and turning things around.....

WJ has seen a number of airlines with cheap fares try Alberta - Hawaii non-stop over the past few years. Transat tried it last year, Harmony did it out of Kelowna, Edmonton and Calgary for a few seasons. Both had cheap fares and reasonable flight times. Neither did well. Just a quick thought... Alt...
