Re: Buffalo Oops

I'm not quite sure sure but if i remember correctly a 215 doesn't have a gear warning horn since does water pickups. As well all the 215's that went over were bought by the turkish govt and buffalo are just doing the training with their military pilots. Apparently its not going very well.....

I'm not sure if its quite quashed as of yet. As of only about 2 or three weeks ago it was still under review. Wether or not it gets passed is another thing. But from what I understand is that the approach ban for precision appraoches will be at 1800ft RVR unless you have a op spec and the aircraft i...

Well more interesting news with PAL. From what I've been told there's alot of movement going on within the company. Apparently there are going to be upwards of 9 or more F/O's hired for the SAAB/Dash/Twin otter/citation/metro. Along with that seems like there are going to be about 7 or so upgrades f...

Another log to throw onto the fire.. Apparently transport is revisiting the ATPL requirements. They are planning to increase the amount of supervised PIC that you can count towards the licence to 150hrs rather than 100hrs. As well they are looking at making it a requirement to have a PPC on a comple...

Gaining PIC time or Moving onto Bigger airlines??

I'm looking for a little bit of input prior to making a career decision. I am currently working for an airline and have gotten about 3000hrs F/O time on 705 aircraft(5500hrs TT). My dilema is wether or not to stay and get PIC time with upcoming postions or to go to the mainstream airlines(Westjet/Ai...

Actually I know him myself and its really good news for him. I was glad to hear that he got the position as well. He's worked long and hard to get to where he is. And Snag I'm sure we've probably crossed paths along the way at some point. But anonymity is one of the best things about these forums......
