Re: Air Canada granted special stock awards and $10-million in bonuses while negotiating government bailout..

It is extremely difficult for pilots to bargain: they only have their labour to withdraw if they don't get their way, and we know how easy it is to replace them right now. Once things get going, it might be harder. I wish people all the luck in the world. This kind of thinking is why airline pilots...

Re: Countries better than Canada for flying?

I am willing to argue that Canada is one of the worst place in the world to have a career as a pilot. Why may you ask? 1. Canadian pilots normally have to pay for their school, which leaves them with huge debt, compared to other countries that offer paid training "Ab Initio Training", guaranteed em...

Re: Air Canada deal dead

It would be interesting if Transat also went ULCC and ran the 321’s domestically as a shift It would be interesting if Transat was a ulcc, in the same vein if my aunt had wheels she would be a bicycle. Transat needs survival capital and a had a mature cost structure. They won’t be trying to eat fla...

Re: Is this a joke?

There is absolutely a pilot shortage being temporarily masked by a pandemic.

Flight school direct to Jazz Dash 8's and Sunwing 737s was happening in 2019 (fact) and will happen again, sooner than we think (opinion).

Encore might as well have made seats from particle board panted teal, then charge you $1 for the complaints form.

Re: Fox Flight Pay

Yes, I took your comment about being more than flat pay (which it’s not) that it’s a better financially. What else should I took is as? You want to be an internet troll and compare the pay, then that’s what anyone who reads it will assume you’re getting at. Hashtag is pretty straight forward. If I ...

Re: Reserve Schedule

At least 12 months on reserve is likely minus line indoc and the mixed block until your first recurrent sim. Overnights depend on if you’re on reserve multiple days in a row and I doubt there’s a difference between A and B though A get called more I’ve heard. B will get all the split book offs.

Re: Any professional pilots living in Kamloops here?

Anna and Peter that run it are genuinely mean-spirited people. Nice at first until anything is signed or money is given. I’m Canadian and so there was no student visa to threaten to take from me constantly but all my friends from Brazil France Italy etc at the school were continually threatened unle...

Re: Any professional pilots living in Kamloops here?

basically i'm an international student asking about cfc, and the full atpl program they're offering CFC is awful. The owner is almost as shady as the CFO, who you will be giving all your money too. Pick literally any other school and fly in the lower mainland. With CFC you’ll have to do your multi ...

Keep dreaming...
Several coworkers interviewing in the states already, far from a dream. AC and TC can only lobby so much - if the states want pilots they’ll take pilots and it’s just beginning.
