Re: ATPL Application process tips

So for the Co-Pilot time on the application are we supposed to combine our Dual from PPL/CPL+Co-Pilot time?

Cheers

Tax Tips

Am I able to claim the interest on my Line of Credit that was used to pay for my flight training or does it not count as a "student loan"?

Cheers!

Re: Recent IATRA exam?

Just wrote this morning and some of my wrong answers were: - Differentiate between VOR, DME and TACAN and recognize the limitations for each - Identify the effects of windshear (headwind/tailwind resulting in increased/decreased performance) - Identify where jet streams are most likely to occur - Re...

Carson Air YYC Info

Just wondering if anyone has some relatively updated information on Carson Air out of YYC such as the interview/training process, bonds, schedule, "company culture", pay scale for FO's and Captains, etc.

If anyone could give some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Re: What are the unlucky doing?

250 hour wonder that finished my Group 1 in September who’s up to this point been struggling to find that first flying job opportunity is currently working as a rampy/box tosser at FedEx. Wage isn’t the worst and my shift is 4am-11am Monday-Friday so could be better could be worse, paid every Friday...

Your First Day as a First Officer

Saw a previous thread from a couple of years ago and really wanted to revive the subject. I’m currently sitting at the magic 250 hour mark with no luck of getting any pilot related job as of yet and in the meantime wanted to hear your guys’/girls’ stories on what your first day as a new First Office...

Re: Mystery King Air operator out of Winnipeg?

A lot of operators are doing this now. Any job posting on Av Canada is getting 500 plus resumes in less than 24 hours. My friend who posted a job a few months ago said the number of resumes he received crashed his server. He also had 100 people try and call the company office even though he didn’t ...

Re: Mystery King Air operator out of Winnipeg?

Ah gotcha, that makes sense and not surprising one bit! So as I typically try to somewhat tailor my cover letter to the specific company (ie. chief pilot/company name/type of operation they are), do they just want the broadest cover letter or even none at all and just a resume? I appreciate the resp...

Tax Season Questions...

Hey guys, now that tax season is upon us I have a few questions that I'm hoping some of you could clear up. I'm 24 and have been doing my own taxes for the past few years since I've only had T4's and the old T11B's. I'm still waiting on my T2202 forms with my flight hours and that will be simple eno...
