Re: Seneca Honours Bachelors of Aviation Technology program
Currently a first year at Seneca. There are approximately 100-110 first years, only 30-40 go on to graduate. That should tell you a bit about the failure rate. Courses are a flat 65% pass rate, there's no weeding out process. If you get 65+ in each course, you get to proceed to the next semester. G...

Re: Sault College Aviation Question
Stay away from Sault Aviation. You only have to read the more then a few post here, and on other sites as to just how badly the program has become. You have a 50/50 chance of finishing on time at best. Many/most of the class of 2020 at times went a month or longer between flights last year. Most if...

Re: Ontario StudentHels Preference Seneca College/ Stay away
Hello D Before you spend the time looking , you should take a hour and research the many posts on here, as well other sites about the program. There are so many posts from current and former students of the issues at Sault Aviation regarding flying. For example, the class of 2020, most or all of th...

Failure rate? High.
Jazz pathway program? May not even be a thing for a good few years due to the impacts for covid-19, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Plus only the top students get in which further narrows the shortlist of cadets.

If your AME approved and sent it in then it's highly unlikely you get denied outright, however they may ask for further tests if needed i.e. a cardiovascular assessment if your ECG results were high

Invested in AC at the moment, with a plan to buy more should the price further drop. CHR is going to become a penny stock real soon so I wouldn't bother looking into it.

Re: Snowbird replacement aircraft
I bet Trudy announces something soon. Every day he comes out at 11:00 am like a coo coo clock he spends another billion on something. He can just print more money and buy the new jets and everything will be just fine. How about you try putting on some big boy pants and stop whining like a child? Bo...

Re: Flight school delays - Covid19
First year Seneca student. All classes have been moved online for the rest of the semester. As for the summer, where the flight training begins, it is pin drop silence from upper management. Feel like I’m in a pitch black room with no doors, nobody is talking to us. If summer is cancelled, I wish th...

Re: Anyone from the sault want to state their own opinions of the school?
All these comments regarding Sault's "issues" seem like a massive shill. If I had to guess, probably some kid who got kicked from the Soo and keeps making new accounts to berate them.

Re: Crossroads in my life
Theres no need to go to confed or seneca or other silly programs. You already have a degree so you dont need to waste any more time. Go to a local flight school and get er done asap. If you dont mind instructing, then go for instructor rating after CPL. Once you get some time instructing, get your ...

Re: Crossroads in my life
There's a guy in my first year Seneca program who's 26.. he'll be pushing 30 when he graduates. Never too late my friend. Confed is subsidized by the government hence the low cost, thought keep in mind you don't get your group 1 multi-IFR with that program. You almost certainly want to get your mult...

Re: Best route to do training
If money's not a problem, I'd get it all done in 14 months at Brampton. If you're willing to move out of province, BCIT out in Vancouver has a decent 1.5 year program. Whatever you choose to do, I would not recommend the 3+ year college/university programs. Your degree will already check off that bo...

I'm in the joint Seneca program with the RCAF, and they have nothing but good things to say.flyingcanuck wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 6:31 pmBecause its true? It seems like they are slowly moving towards the way of privatization, and do nothing for retention for their pilots and any other trade.

Re: Seneca College Airline Pilot Flight Operations Diploma
Snowcrest, the reason so many people dislike Seneca graduates is because of the ego that some those individuals display. As an example, I was working somewhere with Seneca students and one of them decided to tell me: “your XYZ school can’t get you into Jazz. You will need to make atleast 1000 hours...

Genuine question - coming from someone in the Seneca 4 year program: Why do you guys have such a vendetta against the Seneca/college programs? In every college thread there's always one or more old-timers who shudder at the words "aviation college". Are you pissed that you did not get the same oppor...

Re: Should it take 2 years to get a Private? Thank you Sault College. :(
What a mess!! Was reading on another group, yet another student in the program just gave up and left. After wasting 2 plus years and $30,000 spent, just got tired of the NOT FLYING on a regular bases. There are currently students (Nov 2019) that are at risk of being dropped out of the program becau...
