I have a buddy at DL, he’s going to clear 200k USD as a new hire with all the overtime he’s flying.

Re: Jazz Recalls?
If the company needs short term flexibility on this scope issue to right size aircraft on some routes I think AC pilots will be happy to help - we always are - but it comes in exchange for permanent gains. Otherwise they can go piss up a rope as far as I'm concerned, as was mentioned, this isn't a ...

Re: Jazz Recalls?
It should be easy for all of us to agree that this is economically the worst time in the history of the airline (and just about every other) industry. At the end of July, the Canadian Press reported that Air Canada lost almost $20 million per DAY through April, May and June, based on the company re...

Re: Jazz Recalls?
You are beyond delusional if you think you have a hope in hell of winning this grievance. You are still staffed as if those airplanes are actually flying, meaning the spirit of scope agreement is being complied to. The only thing you stand to gain is them turning around and running downbid to staff...

Re: Best guess when recalls could happen
If people start travelling again with some predicting domestic flying will ramp up first, will this mean good news for Jazz, in that they will start flying more routes than AC domestically (at least to start) ? Considering it's Air Canada pilots' flying, outsourcing to a third party, it would be in...

So then why not PFO people if they don’t want them?iflyroads wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 2:14 pm21cdnflyer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 11:28 am So can we assume the wait time for those who interviewed in July/August has to do with the return of the MAX?
Some who interviewed around that time are being hired. It all depends on how you score.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Thanks for the update! Is there going to be a slow down in November and December for the holiday season or will additional classes still be running before the new year? From what I understand 1 class every 3 weeks. Calls go out 2-2.5 weeks ahead, so next class should be going out by the end of this...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
It is their choice how they staff 787 and 777 fo. Yes one can be qualified coming from the regionals however it is probably more than ideal to have an emirates 777 fo in that wb fo seat instead of a 3000 TT Dash 8 as a new hire. Like it or not it's happening anyways.. It might work like that in the...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Waiting 3-4 months is extremely long.
My question is, why is no one following up with HR? If they tell you 6-8 to weeks and you haven’t heard at 10 weeks, I would shoot an email to see what the deal is no?
