Re: Traning bond or ... non flying job

How about 703’s that refuse to recurrent crews unless they sign a new bond?

It just happened to my buddy (king air FO).

Fucking stupid industry.

Re: Canadian flight schools

The big one for me was the availability of planes and instructors.

My goal was to finish my full 200 hrs multi IFR in 12 months or less, and I did it mostly because I was able to log multiple flights a day when the weather was good.

Re: TSB reports "Insufficient fuel" cause for Keewatin Air

Two captains flying together is probably one of the biggest threat in the 703 world... Everyone who flew 703 in those kind of operations knows the FO is mostly doing all the work, coordination and planning. How many time have I seen chocks being left on, prop ties, wrong fuel in or no flight plan de...

My guess is they will operate from QC and ON airports to Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba. So no need for tech stops.

Re: Working while on CEWS

You are allowed to have any other revenues while on CEWS.

The day your employer calls you for work, you have to decide if you stay on the ramp or go back to your actual job.

I always wondered... In the paper logbooks, you have space to sign every pages to “certify” everything is accurate. Is it actually a requirement?

Re: Surplus of instructors?

A source told me that the new hires in the last year had TT averages in the mid to high 2000's. They weren't C-172 instructors. They were commercial pilots. Lots of Encore new hires from the last 2 years were instructors with no prior “commercial” experience. So yes I think a lot of class 3 will tr...

Delta announced they will build a schedule that will cap the passenger capacity at 60% per plane.

I’m curious to see the pricing strategy and if we will see a quicker recovery in airline jobs because of that? And how will be the public reaction to the new price levels...
