From the beginning of time, Captains have complained about FOs, and FOs have complained about Captains.

Why must all pilots resort to attacking each other? Old guys vs young guys, non expats vs expats. Aviation isn't a zero sum game, and when things recover there will be opportunities for everyone. Chill the @#$^ out.

To OP, keep the faith. You are applying for a small trickle of jobs in a severely depressed industry, most of which are likely to be filled by known applicants. When things pick up again (and they will) opportunities will arise, including ones that value your extensive experience.
