Don’t have an answer for what you are looking for… but I’m sure if you rub 2 nickels together that’s the salary. I’ve heard from a few people that Sunwest is a place to hang your hat, however after seeing the pay scale I’d argue otherwise. Just my personal opinion.

Some what of an odd type for Canada. Best bet is to contact flight safety. You can get some online stuff prior to gs. I think I got my log in and access to all training documents months prior to sim last year.

Pros and cons of working here ? I’m assuming they are getting another jet since they are looking for 3 capts and a capt or fo on the sovereign. Anyone have insight on pay ? Are you worked like a rented mule? I feel like it’s a good gig, but I could be wrong.

Re: Captains of the North, what make you stay?
In my personal experience it's more so guy's and gal's just getting comfortable with where they are. (Meet someone up north, have a kid, buy the house and all the toys to go along with it). Also a lot of companies are now paying decent to keep Caps around. Pair that with a decent schedule and people...

Re: "Big men" in aviation
In this career you are going to meet LOTs and LOTs of people you do not click with and meet lots that you do. You have to learn how to tailor the conversation to your liking or its going to be a very long road. It doesn't have much to do with not clicking. It's about the hypocritical attitude by be...

Re: "Big men" in aviation
Have you ever met "Big men" in 703 or 704? Because looks like I met a lot. Captains are complaining about each other with FOs. An hour later they gossip about FOs or ramp guys being stupid. And the same time any other company in Canada sucks for them(including 705) and there is no future except fly...

Re: Turning down a job due to salary
Just a question.... Did you not know the Salary Range before you interviewed? The majority of the jobs on avcanada are advertised without a salary range. Even if there is a range, you might be happy with the high limit, yet the company will probably offer the lower limit. The salary was no where to...

Turning down a job due to salary
What's the most polite way to turn down an opportunity? In the past I have turned down some interviews and feel like my resume will and has never been considered again. How would you tell the person the salary doesn't do the job justice without hurting feelings and sounding like an absolute plug? Es...
