Re: Trudeau's Airplane
I love all the funny remarks on this thread but I'd like to turn the discussion towards a more serious matter. Equality under the law. This aircraft incident smacks of-'There is one set of rules for the chosen ones, and another for the plebes. Ask, what kind of a person drives a vehicle, fuel, cater...

Pity us the Canadian taxpayer. We pay corporate welfare bum Bombardier to build them. We bankroll Export Developement Canada to finance them for dubious customers. So I called and discovered Dr Fernando has retired. Well deserved as he worked to age 80. Best wishes to him.
So to what other Docs are his medical clients moving to. Fees, ease of booking and general comments invited.

Re: Bent Harvard II - Moose Jaw
Seems very odd and a horrendous waste. Both this accident and the aforementioned 2013 one. If one has four minutes to decide to eject, how can there be a compelling reason to? And in the 2013 accident, eject on account of gear trouble?! In my mind, reason to eject would come down to catastrophic air...

An interesting article about some research into new de/anti-icing tech.

It would be nice to see this kind of technology rapidly brought into use especially with the increased use of composites.

Re: CATSA Explosive Trace Detection on prosthetics.
As I watched a fellow aviator having to go through the senseless CATSA screening in front of me, I said to the screening agent, "You know, there is a fire axe mounted under his seat". The blank stare from the screening agent clearly indicated that the hamster fell off the wheel. That aside, I just r...

SpaceX
Just checked out SpaceX.com. Their return to flight was phenomenal! An 11 package delivery into a 630km orbit and a successful booster return and landing. These guys (not a suit to be seen) are moving space flight forward like no government agency has been able to do in the last 40 years. The future...

I am not at all surprised at the auditor's findings. Right or WRONG, it would not surprise me that the same findings could be made at a majority of the operators in the country. If the regulators wish to single out the most belligerent examples for disciplinary action, well I guess that's their job....

Carrier is 100% correct. To quote: "What have the accountable executives of Alberta Government Air Services got to say? As "accountable executives" they are just that - accountable! They are responsible for ensuring that their air operation operates legally and in full compliance with all laws and r...

Re: Alberta Gov't Air Service
Various levels of government and law enforcement tend to have an understanding that the rules don't apply to them. There is no way TC would touch this with a 10 foot pole. And that there is exactly where good governance breaks down. Everyone is equal under the law except government officials or age...

Take one perfectly serviceable aircraft and ram it into another perfectly serviceable aircraft. I pity the poor SOB that has to write the cheque for repairs on that one.

Re: Edmonton City Centre Airport
Yeh the LRT link to the Leduc County Continental Airport.
Edmonton should really build that rail link. Then Calgary can build rail the rest of the way and we will have no need for any airports at all.
